wow what a day. I think my most memorable moment was, after the ceremony, just before we signed our family bible my father in law came up to me with tears in his eyes and told me that this was the best day of his life and that he is so extremely proud of me and Dwayne.
We decided to be tourist in our own beautiful country, we went away for two weeks. the first week we went to Cape Town enjoy all the sights and seen and experienced the water restrictions, the highlight of that week was when we went to Newlands to watch the Stormers vs Blue Bulls game.
then we when off to Knysna for the last four days, what a breathtaking place we stayed at Under Milkwood, we had such a blast there and would love to return to the beauty that we saw in Knysna.
My hair was done by my friend Renata Weltehage from Angel Hair Studio, we decided that for the Ceremony we will do a full up do and then for the family photos and the couple photos we did half up half down, after all the formalities we went full down.
My make-up was done by Lynette Botha from Beauty Confessions in Centurion she came highly recommended by a close friend and I will forever be grateful for thee recommendation as Lynette knows exactly what to do and she knows how to make her bride feel exactly like a princess, I asked her to not make my make up to heavy and that I do like the more natural beauty and she did just that.
My dress was a sweetheart neck line with lace details and a navy lace-up at the back. I wanted my something blue to be incorporated into my dress and by replacing the traditional white lint with the navy lint from our wedding colors I could have my blue in my dress. We purchased my beautiful dress from Bride and Co.
My shoes was comfortable and showed my fun sporty side, We chose white All Stars for my shoes and my maids shoes definitely will choose them again if i had to do it all over.
Lingerie was pure white with lace only for my hubby to know the rest ;)
My Jewelry, I had a very sparkly bracelet on that I got as an anniversary gift from my hubby on our 3 year anniversary and my necklace and earrings I got as a gift from my mom for the wedding day.
other accessories on my dress was a pin that belongs to my grandmother as she could not be there for our special day i wanted to have her be with me in some way and by placing the pin on my dress i could have her close to me the whole day.
My something borrowed was a ankle bracelet that i borrowed from my godchildrens mother and dear friend of myself and my hubby.
We fell in-love with this venue the minute we stopped in the parking area.
We said our "I Do's" at Pheasant Hill, B&B, Rietvalleirand,
Some of our guest slept over the rest that stays in Pretoria used Uber or went home from the venue.
I just loads of water and tried to stay out the sun as far as possible even though I am a golf coach and had the worst tan line one the day of my wedding that I could just not get rid off.
I used my nivea face day and night cream and used a lot of lipice to keep my lips moist for the lipstick i also tried not to use any makeup during the 3 weeks leading to the wedding
We wanted a clean elegant wedding and decided to keep the flowers and the clutter to a minimal.
We went with deep red arum lillies, with white and deep red roses.
chairs came with the beautiful venue and was exactly what we wanted.
lighting was made with floating candles.
All decor flowers and lighting was done and provided from our wedding venue
Hubby's suit, ties for both the fathers and the groomsmen as well as the groomsmen's waist coats was bought from Euro Suits, hubby had a set of superman cuff lings that he got from my sister as a gift and the men all had brown shoes on that they got from Markhams.
My bridesmaids had flattering dresses on that the maid of honor chose from our visit to House of superior clothing we had the best service from the ladies there and helped us patiently throughout all our visits. hair and make-up was done by Renata Welthagen and Lynette Botha.
They both had white All Stars on and two necklaces on with a wrist bouquet.
Geoff Kirsten from 3CI was the Marriage Officer, but the humble Mark van Heerden did our Ceremony on the day of the wedding he is a close friend and LifeGroup Leader of us and his beautiful wife took our wedding photos.
Monique van Heerden is a talented lady with an eye like no other she did our engagement shoot and we could not, not ask her to take our beautiful memories.
we did make us of a photo booth that was only open during the time that we were busy taking our photos.
No, I had my mom my sister and the owner of the venue helping us with all the arrangements and details
the chapel and the reception was on the same grounds so we did not make use of wedding transport
food was made by the in house chef at the wedding venue and our cake was made by Melinda from Melinda's Cakes and Catering.
We used Mint Print Faerie Glen to help us create and make our beautiful invitations and we had two posters designed by D-Vites by M.H.S and printed by Mint Print.
We thought of dance lessons but with both our schedules we just could not fit that in as well. The DJ was done by the in house DJ from the Venue as well as the lighting.
the Reception was everything that we wanted it to be.
