We had the most amazing wedding day and have many highlights, but if I had to choose my top 3 moments or memories, they would be: (1) Walking into the ceremony room and seeing our beautiful friends and family. (2) The look on Johnny’s face as we met at the alter. He looked at me with complete love and adoration in his eyes! (3) RAINBOW - it rained on our wedding day and we could see the complete rainbow with both ends visible across the field from the venue.
As we live abroad, we decided to have a 2-month wedding holiday, spending time with friends and family in Cape Town and Tanzania.
I wanted a simple and elegant look.
My dress was an Ivory, Trumpet style dress with a sweetheart neckline. The asymmetrical layers of material hugged my body and gave it that fit and flare look and feel.
My Hair & Make-up was done by Shanaaz Alexander. My hair was elegantly done in a half up and half down style with minor pearl detail in the hair clips. My make-up was neutral with a bit extra on the eyes.
My shoes were a classic satin bridal peep-toe shoe, colour dyed to match the grooms suit
My Jewellery & Accessories consisted of a pair of pearl earrings I wore on the day Johnny told me he was inlove with me and the chain with pearl pendant was a gift from Johnny for the wedding.
We got married at the gorgeous Val de Vie estate.
My bridesmaid and I stayed in a lovely 2-bedroom Polo pad on the estate the night before. It was perfect for us on the morning with 2 bathrooms and plenty of room to get ready.
The groom and I also stayed there on the wedding night.
I didn’t have a specific beauty or fitness regime. I had my nails painted and a few waxing treatments done a couple of days before the wedding.
It is my aim to inspire ladies to look and feel their absolute beautiful best every day!
We had shades of light pink and white roses with greenery and baby’s breath throughout the floral arrangements.
Lanterns with candles lit up the aisle.
Ceremony seating was a white Wimbledon chair supplied by the venue.
The alter was a simple white plinth set beneath a bagoda with a chandelier and white draping.
Our reception room was laid out banquet-style with clear, perspex tiffany chairs. Blush pink table cloths with rose gold beaded under-plates, cutlery and votives & tumblers which housed the floral arrangements and candles.
We had a few white sofas in the room where the guest book was set up.
White faking with fairy lights created a backdrop for the main table.
