The most memorable moment for me was when my husband and I made eye contact when I was walking down the isle. We locked eyes and with tears in both of our eyes we smiled at each other and I knew then that this was the most magical moment of my life. I walked down to 'Turning page' by Ryan O'Neal. It was Bella's and Edwards wedding song from 'Twilight'. I've dream't about this moment for such a long time...nothing could've been more perfect
We spent 2 nights at Gateway Hotel, then 2 nights at Wildcoast Sun and then 2 nights at Shelly beach in Margate
I was lucky enough to have 2 dresses from 'La Principessa'. They are situated in Umhlanga.
The first dress that I wore to the church was an A-line long train dress, it was just breath-taking, the lace was stunning.
My veil I 'borrowed' from a friend. I wanted a traditional vintage look with a dash of modern. I wore long gloves, had white fathers in my bouquet, with white and blush pink roses.
Shoes, I wore a glass block heel with clear straps and rose gold uppers.
Earings, my best friend from London flew in for my wedding. He got me tanzanite and diamonds earings as 'something blue' from Premjis at Gateway
My sister in law lent me a beautiful vintage bracelet as 'something old'
My Tiara was swarovski, simple vintage style that matched both my dresses. I will keep that for my daughter one day to wear it. Also from La Principessa
My 2nd dress was a princess style ball gown. The details on the bodice of my dress was exquisite. The lady who designed the wedding cake re-created the lace of this dress on one tier of the cake. It was stunning.
My bridesmaids aka wedding squad booked 6 of us to do our hair and make-up with celebrity make-up artist Neil Ramautar. My bridesmaids and mums were looking like dolls. Neil's work is just perfection!
We got married at my church in Clayfield, Phoenix. Its called Bethsaida. I chose this church because we've been apart of this church for 27 years. There's so much history in there. The history behind the founder of the church goes way back to when he married my grandparents which is approximately 60 years ago.
I'm totally in love with the stone wall finishes and wooden benches. A simple classic.
The reception thereafter took place at Liberty hall in North coast road.
With the wedding nearing up and so many things to do ...keeping up a healthy lifestyle was nearly impossible. During the last month I just accepted that this would be my body for my wedding :) Thankfully stress made me lose. Thanks to 'Body Beautiful' in Zenith drive Umhlanga for keeping my up to date with my glam building up to the wedding day. I can't imagine looking and feeling more beautiful without them.
