My highlight of my wedding day was DEFINITELY walking down the isle to the love of my life. When the doors opened and I saw him, I couldn’t stop smiling.
Our whole day was perfect in my eyes. I had to spend it with the ones I love and adore most and that to me, was so very special.
We went to Bali. I only found out when we arrived at the airport. My husband just told me what to pack because he wanted to keep it a secret.
It was the most fun holiday I ever had. The scenery was too beautiful to put into words. We had so much fun and the best of all, I had my best friend with me 24/7.
The wedding look I wanted was a soft, elegant look. I wanted a dress that kind of remind me of a fairytale dress. My dress was full of detail on top and just plain netting at the bottom. I had 3D hand cut-out flower lace that Kobus Rautenbach did himself.
I wanted my hair to be in a low soft bun, because I didn’t want to hide the back of my dress. I decided to have rose gold jewelry that fitted well with the theme of the wedding. All the accessories were rose gold and nude.
We got married in Potchefstroom at Makojalo. We wanted to have a farm wedding with a lot of detail and that is exactly what our wedding venue was about.
Our close family members was staying at the venue as there was not a lot of accommodation on the venue. The rest of the guests did not stay that far from us. They booked themselves into guest houses in Potchefstroom.
I actually followed my normal daily beauty regime as I didn’t want to change anything drastically. I always eat healthy and exercise on a daily basis and just continued to do that. I believe to eat a variety of organic fruit and veggies everyday. Now and then I will definitely have a sneaky cheat meal, I must admit.
I drank a lot of water so that my skin doesn’t get dehydrated and to flush out any bad toxins.
Me and my Mom went to a lovely spa-day the week before the wedding just to rejuvenate and relax.
