So many memories to cherrish from eating bacon of jitters to the early phone call with my father. Yet the one thing stuck is walking up the chapel with my father crying and him stopping to fetch my mother in the crowd to give me a way together to my wonderfull groom whom was waiting at the end for me with a smile on his face and tears in his eyes.
Unfortunantly not as i got a promotion at work and needed to return three days after our wedding.
My hair was done by Hair Affairs , what an amazing lady as she made my hair exactly as i saw it on a picture even though the previous lady from a different company damaged my hair but all was fixed and perfect it was an ombrey with an upstyle with abit of lose styles between ending with a hair clip bought at Lovisa along with my princess ear drop earings (silver) and my silver bracelette. My make up was very plain as im not to fond of make up but it was beautifull like every girls dream thanksbto Marisa Swarts from Mud. My wedding dress had to have a touch of vintage and lace as well as Ivory .I have fitted almost twenty dresses untill my mother gave me a dress that was not to my liking when i saw it on the hanger but once i had it on i knew its the dress and all with the help of Bride&Co whom helped me find the dress and the altarations as well as my long cathedrial veil. The wedding shoes what a story i walked into Queens Park with my mother and there it was the glass slipper with crystals the only pair left in the whole free state and just my size ,pure luck. Lingerie was white lace that i struggled to find but ended up getting them at Mr Price. My whole wedding look was based on the old 60's as i tried keeping it plain down to earth with a touch of a princess as im always caught in a uniform. My mothers wedding photos as well as my grans gave me a complete picture with a personal touch of flair.
We got married at Vanilla sky in Bloemfontein Free State. We had the chapel, garden, photos as well as the dinner there. Our guest have stayed over night some stayed at the windmill casino hotel and i stayed at the Dante Deo Guesthouse so so so pretty.
I had no health nor fitness changes as i carried on as usual as my husband, kids and family except me as i am however i got my eyebrows threaded and tinted at MUD. None of the spa treatmens as my mother spoiled me by giving me a foot massage the morning of the wedding with some Avene products.
My decor was plain. I had the victorian chairs and tables that were pine wood and white. Each second chair in the hall had a red bow tied at the back and my tables had a burgandy runner. On the table was 2 floating candles in glasses. My thank you gifts hand made by my own business Logic craft Minds and a vase with white sticks covered in red daisies , fairy lights and hanging crystals. The table settings regarding the plates were silver and we had our own wine bottles with our personal logo on it. In the conor was a photobooth also vintage with elvis and marilyn monroe wigs ect. We had a gift table with a money box that i made myself along with a photo collage signatory and a lamp i made. All photos are on my page Oosthuizen Wedding and Logic craft minds. The roof was draped in fairy lights and a chandlelier. The lightning and music was done by Magic Events and Tonic Cateres as well as my flowers that consist of proteas and daisies. The chapel had a red carpet all the way from the first steps to the top of the chapel. The walk in song was Prime Circle pretty like the sun , first dance Michael buble L.O.V.E , announcement song Michael Buble Feeling good and the father and daughter was butterfly kisses.
The groom and grooms men all got their suits from Bride&Co as they had a very neat cream suit with a plain white shirt, brown shoes , red suspenders and a gold tie.
My bridesmaids all had a long burgandy red dress with a lace top. It fitted each skin type, made them look and feel comfortable and fitted well to each shape.
I used Alpha Photos. They were a team of two Mini and Nico. The photos came out amazing and they did the photos of the photobooth as well.
Magic Events whom have the venue Vanilla sky helped put all into action.
My uncle drove me to the venue in his Mercedes Benz.
The food was dond by magic events and tonic caterers and my batman and batgirl wedding cake was made by willem and bambi bonthuys.
My husband and i have done all of it ourselves from save the dates to wedding cards, signatory, welcome board ect. Logic craft minds.
We certainly did nog have dance lessons professionally however we rehearsed our dance once. We had a dj whom did the lightning and all from Tonic caterers.
