yes we went on a week long MSC Cruise to the Portuguese islands. it was such fun. well worth it.
I was a Tamil bride, dressed in full Indian attire .my Sari was red with gold detailing covered in Swarovski gems and my jewelry gold with red detailing.. The Sari and jewelry were bought in India. on my waist a beautiful Gold belt was tied that gave a curve and flow to my Sari .My hair was back with a long braided hair extension that fell flawlessly to the back . Rows of fresh red and white Baby carnations filled the top of my bun creating and effortless beauty of nature. And from the top of my head hung an elegant piece head jewelry(matha patti) that connected to my earrings and a piece which hung down the middle of my forehead. My lips painted a gorgeous yet bold and confident red . My shoes were gold jeweled sandals as we needed something easy to take off when we got to the stage where the Ritual was to take place ,being a scared part , shoes aren't worn.
In Uhmlanga , Mount Edgecomb , Mount Edge comb Conference
The colour/theme was White and Gold ... the stage draped with gold sequence fabric and in the middle sat a gold statue of Lord Ganesha as well as the sides.
on the tables stood a tall center piece that held a gold jeweled ball. The chairs were covered in white and tied back with gold material.
the isle had light stands with an Indian jeweled Elephant that stood on the top. The plates were white with an elegant touch of gold and next to it stood crystal glasses to enjoy your unlimited variety of drinks.
In the indian weddings its not a custom to have Bridesmaids or groomsmen. however in the Modern weddings it has become a trend . ours was a Traditional Tamil wedding.
My husband wore and amazing beige/Grey suit with a vibrant red tie.
