The ceremony was intimate and beautiful.
I had the most emotional wedding one could think of.
I lost my mom 3 years ago and with that my father and his 2 sisters as well as both my grandmothers were constantly by my side, my walk in was the main highlight as I shared it with all of those who stood by me and who gave me away to my husband by walking in little bits with each of them.
Local is lekker!! We stayed at the most beautiful place I have ever seen in South Africa - Garden Route Wilderness.. the cleanliness and romantic setting of this beautiful place made it the perfect destination and my husband and I found our favourite beach yet - Victoria Bay
Ps. We LOVE the ocean!
I wanted something completely different! I didn’t want an ordinary white gown and big tiara so I opted for pearl white and nude tones. My gorgeous Fabric was a once off piece from Minty’s Fabrics in Durban and my Designer was the legendary Renata Kuzak who took the term “beautiful gown” to the next level!
My shoes complemented my gown they were a nude pair from my favourite brand Dune.
I went for minimal jewelry and accessories as my gown was over the top and so was my beautiful veil with a thick pearl boarder.
I am a makeup artist myself therefore I opted to do my own makeup just to add my personal touch to it.
My Hair was simple and all back with a few loose ends in front which complemented my veil. I absolutely adoremy hair stylist Suzanne!
Our Nikaah ceremony was done in the Gazebo at Summer Place Boksburg.
The reception and afternoon tea was in the main hall at Summer Place Boksburg.
I had a lash lift, Alma hair removal laser and a Fire and Ice Facial by Tasneem Vally in Benoni.
For my teeth I had teeth whitening done as well as a clean up 1 week before the wedding by Dr. Zeenat Hawa in Pretoria
My wedding venue looked absolutely heavenly!!!!
The hall was already fully draped so I opted for lots of bright colours and minimal white.
Duck egg blue, turquoise , gold, cerise pink, emerald green, orange, peach, yellow and some purples were the coloures that complemented each other in our flower arrangements.
Outside our entrance table and later turned into tea station was a heavenly sight sporting the same colour scheme.
Decor by Farhana and Fazila from Just Good Occasions!
The groom had a beautiful bronze to brown suit which complemented my gown. His shoes and accessories were from a shop called Baladi, found in Festival Mall and now South Gate.
My bridesmaids/little flower girls wore the cutest the little princess dresses in blush pink and nude with white lace pieces to tie it all up together.
I chose the dress design and colours.
Platinum audio Visual were our videographers who were so good at what they were doing and they truly managed to capture the emotions and everything special we needed.
I used Estilo photography however, I wasn’t too happy with their service or the pictures they provided us with. Out of 3000 pictures I have 1 with a full gown that too without my veil, The didn’t follow requests and were very arrogant when it came to dealing with our complaints, unfortunately I won’t get this day again and Estilo photography was the only service provider who messed up really badly so I wouldn’t recommend them. There are maybe only 12 pictures that I like of which they’ve taken.
We didn’t use any planners. Everything was chosen and planned by my aunt and I.
My uncle surprised me by showing up in his Mercedes and taking me to the venue.
Our wedding food was by far the best I’ve ever eaten and I’m not being bias!
