Marrying my best friend - I only waited 9 years for this memorable day, having my dada walk me down the aisle, seeing my future husband and being surrounded by friends and family. This truly was a very special day.
We spent a week in Sanbonani Resort Hotel, we spent time at the Elephant Sanctuary, feeding and riding elephants, meandering through Hazyview and surrounding areas. We visited Shiloh Coffee which was definitely a win for me and of course stopping at Sabie Valley Brewing for hubby, another definite win :). We stopped by at God's Window to take in the spectacular views. Pilgrims Rest was another stop with so much history, adventure and lots of craft beer.
My wedding dress was something that I envisaged for my special day, was simple, elegant with a touch of a vintage look. To add just an edgy look I had a burgundy manicure with my beautiful burgundy strappy heels from Superbalist which finished the look off beautifully. My hair was done perfectly and loved every element of what was created by my extremely talented hair stylist, my son Keagan from Craik Speirs in Hilton, a beautiful pearl accessory in myhair complimented the look and I wore a pearl bracelets and earrings to finish off my look. My make up was done by the amazing Amber Lea Make Up - Amber certainly created and made us look and feel like queens.
We got married in the most beautiful place ever - Corrie Lynn Farms in the Midlands.
There was a cottage where the bridesmaids, photographer, friends and myself stayed the night before.
Really didn't have much of a regimen but made sure I had enough sleep, exercised at least 3 times a week and tried to eat as healthy as possible.
Our Wedding colours were burgundy, with a vintage/rustic look finished off with pearls, proteas, penny gum and lots of greenery. We were very lucky to have venue that very rustic, it was actually an old barn with wooden tables and benches which just went so well with the look we wanted. We rented cutlery, etc from E by A Wedding & Function Décor and Desire2hire in Dbn. Flowers were from Sam's Florist.
The Groom and his groomsmen wore beige chino's with tan braces and burgundy bowties with funky wooden moustache badges to finish the look, funky superman socks and brown shoes.
My bridesmaids wore beautiful burgundy dresses with a lace bodice, pearl earrings and nude heels to compliment their look.
Our marriage officer was none other than the truly amazing Tracey Lee Bell from St Davids in Prestbury.
We were really honoured to have an amazing photographer - Marc Stafford Mayer Photography with the help of his amazing wife. We certainly had lots of laughs with Marc and he truly made us feel so comfortable.
I did all the planning and knew exactly what I wanted so was easy and rather organised. Close friends and Family definitely helped to make our day very special, was definitely a family affair.
We didn't need any transport as the cottage that I was getting dressed at was super close to the Chapel, so all I needed to do was walk to the Chapel.
Food was prepared by Family and Friends -a variety of meals consisted of Chicken a la King, Mutton Curry, Beef Lasagna,
Mac & Cheese, salad and cocktail rolls. Dessert was sweets, chocolate fountain, cupcakes and eclairs.
Planning, designing and printing done by hubby and me.
Our Reception was at Corrie Lynn Farms in the Midlands - rustic/vintage look with a DJ - Mervin, all the guests certainly came with their dancing shoes and danced the night away.
