When I look back on our wedding adventure the moments that stand out for me was the planning. WOW! Firstly I had an hands-on fiancé, we were a real team. He was involved with every choice and decision, how blessed am I. Secondly both our families showed so much love for us by helping out with some of the planning. Thirdly, the vendors that we chose were amazing. Not once did we feel unsatisfied or unhappy, everything went smooth and exactly like we imagined it. Lastly, God really blessed us with beautiful weather. Our dance floor was outside and we planned most of our things around it. The whole week was rainy and cold, one thing was certain we prayed that God will give us that one day for no rain so that our day can be perfect, and He did.On our wedding day we saw how everything fell in to place, and that made our wedding the most special day of our lives.
Yes, I lived a night like a princess in the Palace at Sun City. We then went to Kwa- Maritane, in the Pilaanseberg for a week. There we were really spoiled with Spa treatments, game drives and the lovely nature. Our private swimming pool was our best hang out place. There we had a lovely mountain view and we were lucky that some animals like Zebra came to visit us. In the swimming pool we chat, laughed and made long lasting promises to each other.
My wedding look was natural and classy. I always say, beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.
My hair was done by Elandri Naude, she knew me so well that the day I went for my trail, she exactly did what she felt suited me and I loved it. It was loose curles, and on the one side it was pined away from my face.
My make-up looked stunning. The artist really walked the wedding journey with me. She regularly popped a message to find out how the planning is going and gave me beauty tips along the way. We grew a bound that on the wedding day it was so relaxed and special. She used natural colours on my face to create a natural and soft look, which I feel really brought out the beauty in me. Thank you Gerda from Making Faces.
My wedding dress was breath taking. I can remember that I didn't have allot of preferences, all that I wanted was a dress with a open back and thanks to Diaan Daniels for the perfect one. Every fitting was memorable, just to see how my dream dress came a long and each fitting made me more excited for the next one.
My shoes, lingerie and jewellery was very plain and made use of natural colours, just the way I like it.:)

Our exquisite wedding venue was at Bahri, it is based between Parys and Potchefstroom. There is a farm house where close family stayed over. Because Parys is closed to the venue we had no problem for our guest to find a perfect place to stay the night.
Named after our Arabian horse stud and situated in the middle of the Vredefort Dome. A new venue born out of love for horses and weddings and especially our own wedding. ...
Wow, just to think of all this details all over again makes my heart warm and happy.
Our venue had beautiful natural elements like mountains, with horses running around that already made up for most of the décor.
The chapel and reception buildings had this beautiful big, wooden doors that lead out to a lovely view.
Because of the view we decided to have an outside dance floor. The dance floor was lit up with fairy lights with sparkles waiting to be set a light with the first dance. The big, lush, green lawn where the dance floor was based was also where the pre-drinks and harvest table was served. We decided to put out white umbrellas and lawn games for the guest which were a hugged success as the guest entertain themselves while we were busy taking our beautiful wedding photos.
We went for the simplicity feel for our flowers. Our theme was greenery with white hydrangeas roses, white berries and allot of gypsy flowers. Andre and his wife Zoe, from Maison de fleur did a perfect job doing our flowers just the way we wanted it. Andre gave us most of the exquisite ideas and we were so glad for his input on our flowers.
Our reception was light up with fairy light, glass balls and candles. All those elements made the romantic and warm feel that we wanted. All of this extras we hired at A&E décor.
My husband was so cute. He also wanted to surprise me on the wedding day and therefore I didn't know how his suite looked like and had no input on his choice. He looked so handsome and will definitely trust him with shopping. He bought and tailored his suite at Sedgars in Vereeniging. The groomsmen also got there shirts at Sedgars but bought there own beige chino pants. As a gift from my husband he bought them "Katu vellies" that fitted perfectly by the outfit.
They looked gorgeous! Their dresses was lace on top and beige at the bottom. The dresses was light and comfortable, we received allot of compliments on how the bridesmaids looked. It was fun deciding on the look and feel of their dresses and it came out perfect, just the way we wanted it. Thank you Isabel you are amazing!
August photography captured the special moments and they did it amazing. From the day we went through their profile on facebook we were drowned by their natural, light photos. When we met them we knew that with their warm and fun personality and their beautiful photos we had the full package. From the engagement shoot till the wedding day they never hesitate on anything. They were game for everything and went out of their way to accommodate us.
Our wedding cake was the talk of the town. We had a naked cake with all kinds of fruit on top of it.. The flavour was a chocolate mousse cake with gnash and caramel in between. Our cake looked pretty and tasted perfect. Thank you Lien Eloff from Speciality cakes.
