I was so blessed to be able to marry the man of my dreams and to be able to have my grandmother present. She has been fighting cancer for the last 7 years and she fought very hard to be there that day, even though she was very sick
We went to amazing Thailand. What an experience! We went to all the islands and drove around on a scooter in town. We even got lost one night and had to drive around for two hours to find our hotel again. What an adventure
My dress was from Bride & Co. I was and still am so in love with my dress. Was not what I thought I wanted, but I felt like a princess
My makeup was a classic smokey eye, with daring lips
My shoes were very comfortable and I loved how it didn’t look like your normal wedding shoe. They were pale pink Olga Bolga jellie shoes
Our ring box was so unique. It was my great great grandmothers box. It is over 100 years old. It is so detailed and has the finest blue mosaic tiles on the lid. Something old, borrowed and blue
I had my moms 21st locket attached to my bouquet. It had a picture of my late grandmother and grandfather in it. I kept them close to me that day
We got married at the beautiful Makiti wedding venue. We got married at the river chapel. It is a beautiful deck over the river running below. We felt so close to God and nature as we said “I do”
Our guests had an after party at the farm house and let’s just say they didn’t get much sleep :) What a party!

We had a very classic look. I had a lot of candles. We had a silver candlebra as a centerpiece with an arrangement of roses and proteas around it with a lot of candles to set the mood
My bridesmaids wore infinity wrap dresses in 5 different shades of pink. They looked amazing!

As a wedding cake we had different cheeses from Fairview wine and cheese farm in the Cape. We stacked them to look like a cake and that also served as our pre reception snacks. What a hit with our guests:)
