It might be cliche, but I wanted to look as natural as possible...and I think I nailed the look!
I had the wedding dress made by one of my colleagues - such an amazing dress which felt so comfortable throughout the day. The elegant lace with some pearl beading added the little detail I had in mind.
Hubby likes my everyday hairstyle look, but I decided to zoop it up a bit with some waves. The gorgeous Clarita Smit did my make-up and hair.
While on holiday in Mossel Bay I bought my shoes from Pebbles (even before the dress was being made :) ) and I sticked my 'Something Blue' stickers which I got from LilyBlue Designer Wedding Shoes and Wedding Accessories on them.
We got married in a small Namakwaland town called vanRhynsdorp where all our guests stayed over for the wedding weekend.
Our venue, Letsatsi Lodge provided accomodation for 85 of our guests. The ceremony was held in the special chapel on the venue premises and afterwards all the guests moved over to the reception which was just a stones throw away.
The venue consists of our historic Catholic Church with its original wooden benches and the original restored organ dating from 1904s.
I love white, crystals and some glitter and wanted to combine all of them but still have an elegant style theme.
One of my "Must Have Elemets" was the big Marque letters which highlighted our M & M theme in the foyer. In front of it we had the seating chart on the floor. (This vinyal printing added some mingling between the guests while searching for their names).
Because the venue is also very white, I decided to add some Mauve Purple with the linen serviettes and flowers. I used rectangular mirrors instead of runners and mirror boxes was used as vases for the flowers. I repeated the mirrors for showing seating arrangements as well. (This reflection looked amazing when the candles was lit!)
Due to all the pretty candelabra's to choose from, I decided to alternate 2 types of center pieces... 1 where the flowers adds some height to the table and the other where flowers did the job. I rounded off the table by adding some pebbles on the mirror runner which repeated the crystal look.
I could not resist the silver glitter table cloths for the bridal table (which was in a U-shape, very nice if you want to mingle with everyone around the table), gifts table and cake table. This added some sparkling effect with all the candles and I absolutely loved it!
We were priviledged to have the amazing Christine Le Roux as our photographer and the videographer was Jako Thomlinson from Langeberg Weddings.
They made our day extra special with their outgoing personalities and worked very well together.
