On such a special day it is very hard to choose the most memorable moments, but mine must definitely be walking down the isle and seing my hubbys face. It was the look every girl dreams of having on her wedding day.
We did, we did a 2 week road trip down the Garden Route. We stayd in beautiful places such as Knysna and Hartenbos. We tried to do something different everyday.. Some of our activities included walking with elephant's and zip gliding through the Tsisikama Forrest.
I went for a very simple yet elegant look.
My hair and make up were done by MD Make up who is such an amazing artist. She created a very soft and natural look.I also had hair extensions put in at Hair@Oxford a week before the wedding.
For my makeup I went very natural, very light colours with brown shades to compliment my features.
My wedding dress was a Maggie Soterro design. It was absolutely beautiful, a very plain front with pearl beading in the back. (See Gallery for photos) I could not have chosen a dress more suitable for myself and the look I was going for.
I had very minimal jewelry, I had planned on only wearing earrings but in the end also wore a pandora bracelet that my husband bought me as a wedding gift. I also wore my engagement ring on my right hand.
Both the ceremony and reception were held at Zorgvliet Wine Estate in Stellenbosch.
I was inlove with this venue since the first time we went to go view it.
Me and my mother spent the night before the wedding in the honeymoon suite. The night of the wedding most of our family members stayed in the hotel at the venue along with some friends. The morning after the wedding we all had a big breakfast together and later went for some wine tasting on the venue itself.

I did not really have a beauty regime.
Before the wedding I went for a few sunbed sessions at Crazy Creations. I also got a spraytan 2 days before the wedding at ANB Nails.
I went to the gym often so that I would not pick up extra weight and it also worked as stress relief.
I touched up my hair color 2 weeks before the wedding and had my tape extension put on the week before.
For fun, me and hubby also put on some facial masks in the evenings just to relax and spend some time together.
From the start I had a clear picture in my mind of what I wanted for my decor.
Our colours where burgendy and soft pink and we had lots of candles for ambiance.
We had lots of proteas in all our flower arrangements from my bouquet to the chappel and the reception.
I wanted a very clean and elegant look so all the backdrops (the table cloths and stationary) was white so that all the other colors could really pop. (See gallery for photos)
Both the groom and groomsman wore navy blue pants with a white button top and brown shoes that we bought at Edgar's.
All of them also wore a burgendy bowtie purchased at Woolworths.
The groom wore suspenders to stand out from the groomsman as he did not want to wear a blazer .
All my bridesmaids had their dresses made.
They wore long burgendy dresses, all with a different style.
The dresses were designed and made by Black Eyed Susan.

Our marriage officer was our church pastor. Pastor Gerrie Coetzee.
Our photographer was I Am Bibi Photography. She is a close friend and also did our engagement shoot.
We had a wedding coordinator that works at the venue.
She was the absolute best thing ever.
She helped with all the planning for the day.
As guests arrived for the wedding they were taken from the parking area on a tractor to the chappel that was about 800m into the farm. After the ceremony they were taken back to the reception on the tractor.

The food was prepared by the venue.
We had a 3 course meal.
The starters and Mains were seated and desert was optional as we had a variety of mini dessert. Canapés were also served after the ceremony.

Our stationary and gifts for our guests
(wine glasses) were designed by Nadia from Troues in die Wynland.
She did such an amazing job and after one consultation knew exactly what I wanted.
For both the ceremony and the reception we had a dj. We very traditionally walked into the chappel on the wedding march.
We did take dance lessons for about 3 weeks before the wedding for both the opening and the father daughter dance.
