The favourite part of my wedding day was ,I cannot help but be taken back to the special moment when my lovely mom walked me down the little path way toward the beach. I experienced such emotion having my mom walk me down the aisle towards my prince - two of my favourite persons in the whole world! Knowing my mom was right beside me, and seeing my soon-to-be husband welling up with tears when he saw me walking towards him is a treasured memory that I will keep with me forever.
No,we are still deciding on the perfect honeymoon destination.
Jana from Silver Swallow handmade my couture gown. All the emerald, golden & pink embellishments were hand sewn onto the dress. It complimented the colour scheme beautifully & tied all the elements together.I wore blush pink high heals for the reception.I bought some modern chandelier earrings to suite the dress.
The wedding ceremony was on Paternoster beach on Easter Saturday. The intimate wedding of 50 guests walked between the fynbos onto the beach to await the bride. A round arch framed the setting beautifully, wrapped with fynbos & hydrangeas. The guests mostly came all from Pretoria, all the family and friends stayed over in paternoster.
As I am a full time function coordinator .I didn't had much time for beauty treatments. But I went for a back massage .
I tried to jog every afternoon leading to the wedding day as I wanted to loose some weight. But It also generate some happy hormones.
Me, my mother & my maid of honor arranged tulips, ranunculus & roses. The blush & rouge colour palette was beautifully complimented with marsala touches. The arrangements lined two long wooden tables, accompanied by tall dinner candles. The wooden backdrop was the perfect basic to add to the earthy atmosphere. Ghost chairs kept the look & feel clean, but was personalised by Gerdri as she added black velvet sashes around the arm of every chair. Every guest was given a pretty little bottle of pink gin.
My handsome groom wore a light gray chino, white shirt and a light gray/blue velvet bow tie.
With light leather shoes this made his outfit still formal but easy to wear on the beach. The velvet bow tie suited the other velvet elements perfectly.
My maid of honor bought her dress online at Asos while she was on a trip in America.
I knew I wanted something different for her .So we bought a light pinkish flesh coloured dress with embroidery on.
I was perfect fit to the beach as it was made out of a loose tulle material.
As the wedding was at Paternoster .We booked a local marriage officer from vredenburg.
Migneon (Pritti) Capture every moment perfect. From the dressing photos to our couple photos.
I always knew that if I get married ,I would book Migneon as she capture feelings & emotions on a way that if you look back at your photos you can relive all of that over again. She made both us feel very special and comfortable in front of the camera.
No ,as I work as a wedding coordinator in Pretoria I planned the wedding y myself.
We walk to the beach ,as paternoster is very small fisher town we did not need any transport.
My Mother in law owns a guesthouse in paternoster. And she made all the food for the wedding.
Lizas meeting place in Stellenbosch made amazing cheese cakes, we made custom toppings for all the guest to put on the slice of cheese cake.
My maid of honor Frances Bosch designed all the stationery by hand at her studio Lumina creative studio.I wanted to keep the design modern & fresh, but also wanted there to be delicate details. All the stationery were filled with delicate wildflowers in a rosewood hue. Making use of outline sketches & pairing them with a grey-blue modern typeface, kept the designs contemporary. The invitations were all individually delivered. They were placed in transparent envelopes & rounded off with a custom vintage seal.
The cake table backdrop a 3m long paper design. I wrote a poem about the ocean that was framed with wildflower illustrations. Every detail was carefully picked & the tables rounded off with Agatha stone name cards.
