THE BIG DAY... From the set up the day before to the wedding day it was magical. Everyone was just so happy which made me feel so relaxed knowing that I could just sit back get dolled up and walk down the aisle to the man of my dreams. Getting married to a wonderful and loving man was a dream come true, I could not stopped crying happy tears when I walked down the aisle... The highlights well it was every second. Saying I do is a moment however that really just blanks out everyone around you and its just you and your soon to be husband, holding hands, looking into each others eyes and say those words to each other that will forever bind you as one. Its pretty awesome. The FOOD, speeches and dancing the night away well that was our wedding day and it was all amazing.
We traveled all around Capetown.
Wow.... My hair and makeup was done by a lady named Odette Will, she did a amazing job with me and my mom. We looked stunning bold and bright but yet natural at the same time. My hair was done so elegant and it was the same the whole night thru, my hair didnt get messed up at all. The brides maids git a helping hand from her as well and the looked beautiful. She was a really great makeup and hair artist that was a easy person to talk to the few hours of nerves.
I Got married in Pretoria at Rustic Rock, I chose this place for the outdoors and the rustic way everything looked. Most of the family lived in Pretoria so that was not hard to find sleeping place for everyone. MY parents, my husband and I and the groomsmen all slept over at a Hotel about 30 minutes drive to the wedding.
Well when I get nervous I tend to try keep myself busy, I tried to stay fit for the wedding but with spa treatments and all the other things I could not have done for it was not in our budget.
The groom and groomsmen were wearing a formal black suit with white striped shirts, black shiny buckled belts, silver and black cufflinks and a silky black tie with black shoes.
The bridesmaids wore a long soft silk dress that was a light peach color with heels of their choice and flower head bands. I wanted to make them feel comfortable and not tight up. The dresses were flowing and loosely and just looked stunning. The flower head bands were just to bring in a bit of nature and boldness as well.
The pastor at my church was more than willing to be the wedding officer.
I got married by Rustic Rock Pretoria,they planned my wedding and flowers, I just had to give my ideas as what I would want on my wedding but unfortunately not all went as planned but even tho i believed that it was a perfect day with the perfect soul mate.
My wedding transport was my Father.I believe that was the best way and me and my dad would just talk to each other to calm both of our nerves.
My Wedding cake was a 3 tier donut rack where all could grab a few and enjoy.I wanted to do something different that everyone would enjoy and yet they all did. The doughnuts were pastel colors and with a various variety of toppings.There was a mini chocolate naked cake with strawberry dripping icing and freshly baked macaroons and peachy coloured roses on top, that was the cake to be cut by the bride and groom.
