I think definitely when I walked into the church and saw the look on my husband's face was the most memorable part of the day. I'd say it was a special memorable day all in all and I will cherish our special day for the rest of my life.
No yet, but we are planning on special trip more towards the end of the year.
It was very modern and clean, with subtle grey and a bit of green floral just to give it a tad bit of colour. Not to much going on, but with a little bit of sparkle and a LOT of fairly lights.
We got married at Gabbata wedding lodge in Pretoria. We made it a whole weekend thing where the closest family arrived the Friday night. The wedding was the Saturday evening and most of our guest only went home on Sunday after we all enjoyed a breakfast together at the venue.
I didn't really do much other than color my hair. I am who, I am and it doesn't really help to change yourself completely just to fall back into old habit once the wedding day has passed.
Very plain and simplistic with lots and lots of fairy lights.
They all wore suits from Black Tie in Pretoria and the rest of the accessories of the groomsmen were their own. We got shoes for my husband at Edgars and his cuff links were from American Swiss.
The Bridesmaids wore long grey dresses that we ordered online. With a bit of adjustment it turned out beautiful. I decided to order online as I had a certain look in mind and I couldn't fine in any of our stores and to get them made would just not have been cost effective and I am definitely not sure it would've been ready in time.
Funny story it was someone that my mom knew. It would've been my Grandfather but because off illness he wasn't able to make it.
Her name is Marika Wilkins. She is an absolutely AMAZING photographer and friend really close to my heart.
No, we didn't really need it as my mom and my mother in law had it all under control.
As all was happening at the venue I didn't have special transport to the venue.
The food was made by the venue and to be truthfully honest I have no idea who made our wedding cake. (Haha)
It was my mother in law that did the printing and all the stationary.
The DJ was from Night life productions. He was amazing and kept the party alive until way after 12 and then we went and had more fun at the boma afterwards. He set up in the church, outside and inside the venue, which was great because you didn't have to move any equipment and all in all I was just so happy with the way he kept the party alive and the way he set up the lights and the smoke for the dance floor.
