The most memorable moments of our day were the ceremony and and for me, of course, walking down the isle and seeing my husband's smile. Our first dance and my dance with my father were highlights too.
Seeing the fulfillment and excitement in each other was memorable, that two families came together on one day and shared our happiness with us. Walking out of the church with Bittersweet Symphony playing in the background while rose petals rained down on us was the highlight for both of us! It might just have been another rainy Saturday in March but we both knew that it was something momentous. Our perfect fairytale.

Wen went to the Victoria Beachcomber Resort in Mauritius. Together we enjoyed the beautiful beaches of Mauritius where we were able to discover the coastline on the back of scooter and see the bluest beaches of Troue Aux Biches & Grand Baie. We went snorkeling and we were able to appreciate the marine life up close and personal.
We fell in love with this tropical destination.
The wedding look that we wanted for our special day was for the day to feel romantic and most importantly for it to be timeless. I had two different hair looks for the ceremony and reception and It worked well as both represented me. My Make up was glamorous yet simple with a combination of browns and smokey eyes. My wedding dress, was my dream dress. I honestly did not know what kind of dress would suit me but when I went to the amazing Diaan Daniels for some designs, he had it right the very first time. Classy, sophisticated with a hint of a french flair.
My wedding shoes were from Opari shoes. Other accessories include my ballet shoes as I am a ballet teacher and ballet has always been my passion and I wanted to bring that out in our special day.

We got married at River Meadow Manor in Irene, Pretoria. This was the perfect wedding venue for with a combination of Cape Town and France in Pretoria.
Some guests stayed over after the wedding.
Spa treatments were a must before the wedding. The last week gets really busy without you realizing it and the day before was a perfect time for this. I would recommend this to any bride.
My mother and I had some special mother and daughter time at Menlyn Boutique Hotel Spa.
The wedding look that we wanted was a garden wedding with visions and hints of lights at night. The colour scheme was white and greenery for the flowers with subtle hints of gold.
We made use of a white stretch tent for the reception. Inside were many fairy lights and candles of warm light. This was combined with white, cream and green colours for the flowers. We made use of a greenhouse for the dance floor and to bring through the lights, we had our family and friends stand around us with sparklers.
All our guests were asked to wear black and the feel it gave the whole wedding was definitely timeless and beautiful.

The groom and groomen went 'wedding shopping' the week before the wedding as the groom lives in London and travelled to South Africa for the wedding the week before. They purchased their suits from Zara.
This was a great bonding session for the twin brothers. They both looked very handsome!
I has one bridesmaid / Maid of Honour, which was so special to me. She wore a custom- made gold dress by Ciska Barnard.

Hanri Human captured our beautiful day. The best in the industry with her bubbly personality and perfect way to capture a day. We loved our wedding photographer.
Behind The Vows was our videographer who really went out if their way to capture every detail. Every raindrop, flower and smile. Kenneth and his team were implacable.
We coordinated most of the wedding by ourselves with help from the decor and flower company as well as the wedding venue.

The venue were responsible for the food and the cake was a three layer naked cake by Frantastic Cakes.
We had the best wedding party and it carried on until the early ours of the morning with family and friends. We had a great DJ (Gerhard's Moby DJ).
My dad and I took a few dance lessons which were perfect for our last special time together and to feel comfortable on the day.
