The most memorable moment of the entire day was walking down the aisle and Nathan waiting for me at the end of the aisle. I walked down to John Legend song "All of Me" and married the man of m dreams.
We went to the beautiful island of Zanzibar where we experienced the island culture. We had locals taking us on snorkeling tours and swimming with dolphins. It was just perfect.
My wedding look was all natural as I am all for natural beauty. My dress was an off shoulder, long sleeve white lace dress with a long train. My grandma finished the bodice off with some crystals. My shoes was just a nude, closed toe lace up heel that blended in with the natural look. My earrings was a simple teardrop crystal.
My makeup was done by Sincerely Chelle and I curled my own hair. My two sisters fitted my veil perfectly with some white lisianthus flowers in my hair. My bridal bouquet was about seven white Phellenopsis Orchid stems cascading.
Nathan and I got married at the most beautiful Illyria Boutique Hotel in Pretoria. It was a small intimate wedding with only 50 of our closest friends and family.The ceremony was held in the garden chapel with supper at one long table for all the guests on the veranda.
As I am one of the wedding designers at Cafe Fleur Flowers and Decor, they did the flowers and decor on the day. The colour scheme was natural colours, creams, whites and soft pinks. Flower runners ran across the tables and off the sides. It was magical with all the candles. My mother and I made the serviettes for the wedding.
My groom wore a ink navy suit from EuroSuit and his groomsmen wore navy pants, white shirts with a navy bow tie.
My 4 bridesmaids wore copper colour dresses that was almost a bohemian style dress with nude shoes.
Who'sAnnah was just amazing. She captured every moment and every detail of the day. She also made a stop-motion video that captured the whole feel of the day.
I did not have a planner on the day. I arranged most of the day myself and I must say, my beautiful mother was definitely there every step of the way helping and planning everything. I had my mom, not a planner :)
Illyria Boutique Hotel made supper and desserts. We had a harvest table as a starter option for our guests whilst we were busy taking photos.
Our wedding cake was a 2 layered cake. the bottom layer was a 7kg fruit cake and the top layer was red velvet cheesecake from Tribecca. Devine.
I designed the menu and welcome sign and my brother helped me get everything printed onto vinyls to stick it onto mirrors. He also helped to get the guests names lasercut.
Our first dance was to John Legend song "You and I". We tought ourselves from a youtube video and our guests loved it, some even started crying how beautiful it was.
One of the groomsmen played a few tunes and was asked to play the specific songs for down the aisle and for the first dance.
