I honestly feel as though the entire day was a highlight but a few specific moments do come to mind...
Firstly driving to the venue. My dad and brother drove myself and my maid of honor (who I have known since we were 4years old) to the venue. We spent the trip laughing and talking about memories we have made over the years. It was special as she now lives in London so it gave the feeling that we have never been apart.
Secondly walking down the aisle and seeing my soon-to-be-hubby for the first time...heart racing, trying to swallow my tears and also not to burst into a sprint of excitement to marry him.
Lastly my father-daughter dance. We decided to mix it up a bit and did a medley/remix of song snippets with funky moves. We just had a great laugh and it was something I will never forget.
Yes we were lucky enough to leave for Mauritius the Monday after the wedding...
The honeymoon was planned by my hubby so I had absolutely no idea where we were going until we arrived at the airport...the excitement of the "unknown" just heightened the whole experience.
We spent 4 nights at the Le Mauricia Resort on the north coast and then the remaining 5 nights at Shandrani Resort on the south coast. This holiday was our first holiday together and it included fine dining along the beachfront, cocktails at the pools, snorkeling and water sports, and most of all just time to enjoy each other...
For my wedding day I wanted to look like the "best version of myself".
Hair...I went for loose, side-swept romantic waves secured with a diamanté hairpin on the one side.
Makeup...My makeup look was also a fairly natural look with a bolder eye, which worked well for both the day and night looks.
Leandre van Rooyen Hair and Makeup (084 220 1972) helped me to feel like the best version of myself and she was just a pleasure to work with.
My dress was "Juri" by Enzoani and I just fell in love with this dress the first time I tried it on. I felt so comfortable and sexy in this dress and never looked back...

We got married at a beautiful venue in Caledon "Die Woud"...the venue itself is so beautiful so really didn't need much decor to make it stunning...
What is nice about this venue is that there are plenty of guesthouses in and around Caledon, for example Hermanus and Greyton are less than 30km away so the guests had a wide variety of accommodation to choose from.
The chef, Shelley, at Die Woud is just on another level and we are still receiving compliments on the food they served at our wedding.
Die Woud is in perfect harmony with nature nestled between established oak trees and majestically tall wattle forests.
I think that any woman looks her best when she feels her best. I have suffered with pigmentation spots on my face, so in order toffee my best I went for a series of mild facial peels and microdermabrasion facials at Aesthetics in Bellville. Christelle really helped me achieve the glowing skin I was hoping for.
We wanted an elegant, stylish and classy theme throughout our decor. Wooden tables, ghost chairs, ballet pink runners topped with a variety of white and glass vases. Single stem white roses and tulips were our flowers of choice.
Overhead were strips of naked bulbs and crystal chandeliers.
We made use of San-Marie Jacobs from CreativeNook for decor, flowers and lighting...she is the best in the business!!!!
Groom wore a blue suit from Zara Man and brown leather tie and pocket square from Weef. His watch was a wedding gift from me from Freedom of Movement.
Groomsmen wore blue pants and brown leather bowties from Weef.

For my bridesmaids I wanted a dress that was classy and something they would wear again. The dress I chose was a short rose gold cross-over design by Studio W from Woolworths and it looked great on all of them
Ahhhhhh my favorite service providers were definitely our photographer, Celeste from Aglow Photography, and videographer, Karina from Salt Productions.
Both of these ladies managed to make us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and the photos and video are just TO DIE FOR!!!!!
I don't know what we would've done without San-Marie Jacobs from CreativeNook.
From the start she made us feel relaxed and excited about the planning process and the day itself. She has such a calming personality and knows how to please her clients!!! Highly recommend her services!!!!!
At the pre-drinks area we had the amazing Angelo Thomas from Shake and Bake Entertainment sing acoustic while the guests enjoyed wood-fired pizzas and GnT's.
We had a DJ at the reception. Our first dance song was "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran and with a couple of dance lessons at DanceCraft Studio in Bellville we were able dance with confidence.
