We got married in 'n a beautiful forest and I had a horse carriage. Everything was just as we wanted it to be. We shared our love letters with each other and the whole ceremony was very emotional. We had our dream wedding at Dunkeld Country and Equestrian Estate. It is a breathtaking venue and we only had our closest friends and family with us. We had so much fun with our guests that we didn't even get to dance properly.
We did go on honeymoon. We went to the beautiful Zanzibar.
When the whole dress shopping thing started, I knew what kind of dress I wanted but in the end I had two seperate dresses of the same style.They were both fitted and Ivory. One had long sleeves for the forest theme and the other one had short sleeves to fit with the reception. I wore leather Blue Betty shoes and I had the perfect hair and makeup artists from Harmonette Health and beauty salon . I got my jewelery as a gift from my parents.
We had our wedding at Dunkeld Country and Equestrian Estate in Dullstroom. Our guests stayed over at the resort.
I went for regular facials closer to the wedding and we exercised three times a week for six months leading up to the wedding. I did my eyebrows a week before the wedding and I got my teeth cleaned two days before the wedding.
Our decor was forest themed. We had proteas, and lots of Eucalyptus leaves everywhere. We decorated most of the flower pots ourselves. We had leather wing back chairs and wooden tables without linen.
The groom wore a beidge pants and white shirt from Old Khaki. He also wore a leather bow tie and leather suspenders from One Fine Beginning. We didn't have any bridesmaids or groomsmen.
Our marriage officer was Ds. Jan Potgieter from Dullstroom.
We had two of the best photographers from Anri Prinsloo Photography. They made us feel super comfortable and we had so much fun together.
