Best day ever!! Having all our friends and loved ones there to celebrate this awesome day with us was amazing. From the morning while getting ready to his speech that made us both cry i would not change anything. Had the best time and would do it over in a flash with the best man in the world and him being my best friend is all just a bonus.
Our love for each other and love in God makes our fairytale just so much more sweeter.
With already 8 months into it and wouldn't have it any other way. The way we build each other and growing together stronger is what makes us unique. Love u forever!
Yes we did! The Sunday after having breakfast with everyone and cleaning up we decided to go to Klein Kariba for 3 days..... Relaxing after all the planning and running around for our big day. Those 3 days was just us. We did what ever we want when we want to do it. It was amazing. Enjoying each other and just spending time together the 2 of us .
A week later we went on a small "second" honeymoon. Durban for a week. Sea, sun and the 2 of us what more can you ask for in life and this was the beginning of ours......
I went for the whole rustic, elegant, plain jane look without looking just like a plain jane.
Dress: Made for me, i love the country-lace looking seeing that i am a "plaas meisie" and love the outdoors. Soft, flowing dress with an open back is exactly what i wanted.
Hair: Staying with the country theme i had an updo with a side plate sort of messy. Loved that look
Shoes: My very favorite cowboy boots came in very handy and fit the look perfectly
Makeup: Not to much but also not nothing i wanted the smoking eye with long lashes that looked beautiful
Lingerie: Whili getting ready i manage to arange with my photographer to do a boudoir shoot as a surprise for my hubbies birthday. So in a cream and peach 2 peace set i made him a whole book of our story from how we met till the day we got married.
On the honeymoon i had another peach/orange one peace that he loved
Jewlery and accesories: Also very plain and not bling or over the top i went for pearl earings and a pearl bracelet.
My hairpeace also had small pearls on
We found a very affordable farm style place named Rivierplaas in Meyerton. Beautiful place we fell inlove with the second we saw it.
Our guests that wanted to stay over booked at Plaaskombuis across the street from the venue and Rivierplaas also had accommodation.
I didnt do much.....
Health and fitness: Just did a little cardio untill the lady who made my dress told me to stop because im getting to skinny. Hahah
Skin: I just did my normal routine and used coconut oil to smooth it out
Teeth whitening: Also just normal routine seeing that we already use a whitening toothpaste
Spa treatments: In the week before the wedding. Nails got done and colored my hair
Going with the farm feel to everything the venue had most of the stuff we love. Very rustic with wooden tables, succulents, king proteas, rusted tin cans, fairy lights, and small tealight candles on the tables.
The color theme was cream, hessian and royal blue. Made all the smaler details of the decor ourselves.
Ive made some wooden ingraved stuff to fit the whole rustic theme from the name badges for the parents to the guest sign book.

We had no transport seeing that on the venue everthing was walking distance
The venue provided the buffet dinner with amazing farm food and i did my own wedding cake
Both of us love carrot cake so i made 100 carrot cupcakes and a small naked cake also carrot to cut with a protea on top and wooden cake topper that says best day ever
The thank you gifts we did ourselves, i made fudge and peanut clusters for each guest in a little hessian bag and thank you note. And the menu i wrote on a black board
Had such a fun time. Best party ive been to. The DJ was a family friend and did a great job. No we love to dance so was no need to take lessons.
It was a special day for the both of us and would do it over any time
