The most memorable moment of our wedding day was to have all our family members and friends present and part of the most special day of our lives and the highlight was not being able to take our eyes off of each other because there was just so much love and support all around us. And of course seeing Ricky (my husband) cry as I walked down the isle just made me melt and feel so extremely loved.
We went to Portugal and Spain. We went to go visit my husband's grandparents in Portugal that could not come through for the wedding and we went on a road trip through Portugal and we spent a few days in Madrid. We had an incredible 3 weeks of honeymoon spent with family and quality time spent together.
I wanted to go for a very elegant and romantic look. After trying on almost 30 wedding dresses when I tried on my wedding dress from Michelangela boutique (Maggie Sottero Zelda dress) I was in tears and knew it was the dress for me.
I wanted my make up to look elegant but still natural and Kaila Botha did the most beautiful make up on me and my bridesmaids. My jewelry was all rose gold (lovisa) as my wedding was rose gold and burgundy with touches of soft pink.

I tried not to put too much pressure on myself to lose weight for my wedding as I was under enough wedding planning pressure so I just looked after my skin by drinking a lot of water and doing facials at home and a spoil or two at Sorbet.
The flowers and decor had touches of rose gold and burgundy and I wanted it to all look very elegant and classic but not too overdone a few orchids were also placed here and there as they are my favorite flowers The venue &Caar'i Flora did all the decorating floral arrangements etc.

The groom wore a blue suit from Eurosuit and the groomsmen also got their black suits from Eurosuit and I got them burgundy bow ties and suspenders from the flea market.
The bridesmaids wore burgundy dresses that I also bought at the flea market (Boksburg) with rose gold pumps from Pick n pay clothing.

We had a wonderful reception everyone danced the night away. We had to wing our first dance as we did not have enough time to practice but our first dance went really well. Our DJ was from our wedding venue and we had a mixture of different songs on our playlist that everyone enjoyed.
