From the morning I woke up, to when I started getting ready, I was overflowing with gratitude. I got ready in a room where I was able to see all my guests arrive and they couldn't see me. Seeing everyone walk in to come and share our special day with us, made me so grateful. Everything was exactly how we wanted it to be and I wouldn't change a thing.
We haven't been on honeymoon yet, but we are making plans to go to Namibia very soon {My Husband is Namibian}
I had no specific colour. I just wanted it to be colourful, bright, unique and beautiful, and that is exactly what it was. My maid of honour was responsible for my make up and I picked the first pair of white shoes that I saw at the store the day before. I tried to avoid any gold or silver accessories and I found the perfect colourful earrings that matched my head band.
We got married in my sisters beautiful garden in Scottburgh and our guests all stay in and around the South Coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal.
My husband required all his close friends to wear bow ties and that was the look they went with. It looked amazing.
I decided to only have a Maid of honour (my little sister) stand by my side. I had no specific colours and therefore she was allowed to wear whatever she felt comfortable in, just as long as the colours where bright. She managed to put together an amazing red outfit and she looked spectacular.
We decided to get married in Court the week before our wedding day, where we signed and made it all official and then on our wedding day, we had Geoff Dutton, who is my brother in law, bless and pray over our marriage and it was a beautiful ceremony.
Our photos were taken by Travis Cross and the videographer was Mthobisi Ximba. They both did an extremely amazing job!
We had so much support from our families, that there was no need for a planner or coordinator. We let everything just flow and it all turned out absolutely amazing.
My mom prepared the meals and my mother in law prepared the desserts. - Home made food is always the best. My little sister made our cake from beginning to end. It was beautiful and tasty.
We had no wedding stationery, no programs and no menus. We kept it really simple.
Husband and I decided that we would 'just wing it' - we choose our 1st dance song and knew that the moves would come naturally, and they did. Since the wedding took place at 'home', we felt there was no need for a DJ and we used candles for lighting - it was beautiful.
