Partying on rooftop was definitely one for the books. Another highlight was seeing my husband waiting for me at the alter. I loved being able to celebrate with my friends and family from all over South Africa. One of my most memorable moments was the speech made by my maid of honour. It was incredible.
Yes, we went to the beautiful island of Mauritius and stayed in a lux resort right on the shores of Grand Baie. We spent 6 nights and 7 days on the island sipping on cocktails, snorkeling, exploring and soaking up the Mauritian sun and all its greatness.
My dress was a mix between classy and sexy so I wanted my make-up and hair to match that. I went for soft curls with a Hollywood swept back effect. My make-up was classic bridal with a natural bronze eye and blush pink lip. Done by: Delaney Siebert Hair and Make-up.
My wedding dress was all the way from London dress designer Stella York , brought in my Timeless Bridal Couture in Pretoria.

As most of my family came from Pretoria , they stayed at different hotels around the city centre such as Signature Lux hotel, Cape Town lodge and the Southern Sun international.
I led a healthy lifestyle leading up to the wedding with strict instructions from my dress designer to not lose weight or gain weight but to maintain the way my body was at the time of the fitting as my dress fit like a glove. I worked out 4-5 times a week and stayed away from any refined sugars to keep my skin healthy. I tried out my waxing two months before the wedding to make sure my skin wasn't sensitive to the products. I also used teeth whitening toothpaste by Carbon Coco.
When I stood back and looked at our wedding venue on the day we got married, it was everything I could have ever have dreamed of. It was a mixture between classy yet vibrant and fun. Our flowers, décor and furniture were supplied by Melkbos Décor and functions. We went for a white, gold and blush pink theme throughout our wedding and I loved the way it all came together.
The groom wore a custom suite from Carducci.
The groomsmen wore classic cream chinos, a white collared shirt and brown shoes.
All the men wore bow ties from Freedom of Movement.
My bridesmaids wore simple blush pink skirts made by a lady named Sarah. (Located in Pretoria)
We then added elegant white soft shirts , nude heels and classic pearl earrings to go with the skirts.

Our photographer was Ett Venter from Ett Venter Weddings. He also happens to be my brother-in-law which was such a blessing having such talent in the family. He truly captured our day perfectly.
Our videographer was Driaan Louw , a great friend of ours.
Yes, Suzanne Toerien from Melkbos Décor and Functions helped us coordinate our special day.
My dad drove me in my favourite car, a white Fiat 500.
Our yummy food was prepared by Boulevard 89 Food truck. We went true market style to go with our stunning rooftop wedding. Our wedding cake was supplied by a Melkbos local named Bernadine cakes.
My sister and I designed the stationery and all the signage was made by Formarelli interior designs.
Our reception was the best, we even stayed until 3am! I have been a Latin and Ballroom dancer for many years. I finally convinced my then fiancé, to take a few dance lessons with me. Those lessons were the best bonding time in between all the wedding craziness. We used DJ Phil from Tantra Sound and lighting. He was incredible.
