My most memorable moments of my wedding day... Shew that is a hard one - It would be easy to say the entire day! But I have to say the memories that stand out the most are:
- stepping into the isle and seeing my future husband standing there with a huge smile on his face
- the heartfelt speeches made by my new family and my old family
- dancing the night away with all of my favourite people
Unfortunately not BUT we are planning one in the near future - we will be going to our favourite place in the entire world - Thailand :D
I was extremely lucky. My mom made my wedding dress, which was such a special thing. I had my friend do my make-up, and we had to hire a mobile hair stylist to come in and do my hair while we got ready in an apartment my sister had rented.
Shoes were from Cotton On (and blinded up by my mom). Jewellery was sponsored by Drizzle Jewellery and I bought some stuff from Lovisa. My sister ordered my hair clip from overseas.
We had our wedding at the beautiful venue Sally Mustang in Kramerville.
I wasn't your usual bride. I am the most chilled out person ever! So leading up to the wedding I just tried to stick to a healthy eating and training regime. I didn't have any spa treatments or beauty services except for getting my lashes done by one of my beautiful friends.
Haha so my mom's and I pretty much planned and executed the entire wedding from tables to balloons to flowers, etc.
We went with a very natural theme (green leaves, black tablecloths, rose gold and gold accents, etc)
The groom's suit was made by the extremely talented "House of Crouse"
The groomsmen had these awesome tan suspenders made as well as bow ties made from the same material as the bridesmaids dresses.
My mom also landed up making the bridesmaid's dresses. I wanted something neutral but pretty and flattering for the girls too.
They wore dresses in a satin rose gold beige colour and the tops were done in a similar colour but fully sequinned.
We actually got married officially at Home Affairs a few days before so we had one of our close friend officiate the ceremony. It was lovely having someone who knew us on a personal level to do the ceremony.
One of my photographer friends landed up capturing the day. She has always done amazing work so I knew I wanted her to capture our special day.
We did not use a wedding planner as we planned the entire day ourselves!
Once again - I'm not your usual bride. I caught an Uber black with my sister, flower girl and dad and the rest of the girls got an uber van.
The Groom and Groomsmen organised to come in a bunch of fancy cars.
My sister made my wedding cake <3
My mother in law did an amazing food spread for starters and snacking throughout the evening.
We had a restaurant come in and serve main course. We decided to go with Burger and Beer pairing (we like different things) so we got The B-Spot to come and cater for us.
We did all of our invites online. From our save the dates, to our registry, to our wedding invites.
We didn't take any lessons - we wanted it to be real and we just went with the flow :)
We hired sounds and lighting from Resonate and had our friend DJ Fonnix play music for the night.
