Our wedding day was so special and stunning.
One of my memorable moments was seeing my dad see me for the first time. We could not control our emotions. This was so special as I have been dreaming about this day for a very long time. When he saw me he started screaming WOW WOW. My other memorable moment was when I saw my husband standing at the altar – WOW. Him waiting for me to walk down the aisle with my father.
The highlight of the day was when were at the reception talking, laughing waiting for the main course. For a moment I looked around and realized that all these people, our family and friends are here for US. I felt lucky!
No, we did not go on honeymoon. We are planning to go this year 2019.
My hair and make was done so beautifully. A big thank you to all my service providers.
My hair was taken to the side with loose curls. I had a pearl and diamante hairpiece. My hairdresser Amanda from Twist and Curl Hair in Roodepoort did my hair. My make up was done so elegantly and natural. Nadia Deetlefs stays in Parys and she and her assistant did our make up. I did not even have a trial as I stay in Roodepoort and there was no time to go through to Parys. They did such an amazing job.
I loved my dress! I bought my dress at Bridal Manor in Pretoria. My dress had a train. I wanted a long veil to go with my dress so I had one made at The Plaza. My jewelley and accessories I wore that day was simple - diamond earnings and 3 small diamante armbands from Lovisa.
I bough a robe from Cotton On for me and my bridesmaids and we wore that whilst getting ready.
My shoes was from Edgars. They were dusty pink stilletos. I also bought sandals from Foschini with diamond leaves (pink and white).
We got married at the beautiful Nutcracker Country Venue, Parys. When we first saw this venue we know this was it. This was the first venue we looked at and we took it.
This venue is one of a kind. Beautiful surroundings, tall Pecan nut trees and the river.
Our guests could stay at the venue or surrounding areas:
Kommandonek, Dimalichite River Lodge, Vaal De Grace, Green Gables Guest House

Our wedding was country style/rustic. We did not have a lot of flowers in the chapel only candles. T
Our tables had flowers Lisianthis, pink roses, baby's breath, greenery. Werner from the Floral Artist made our day even more special with his art. I hired candle sticks for the tables and chapel from Nicky at A Vintage Affair in Cresta. Other candle sticks I hired from the venue.
My husband bought a light grey suite from Woolwoorths. His shoes was from Truworths and the groomsman had their black suits made at Reliance Tailors Roodepoort.
We bough the ties and accessories also from The Plaza.
My bridesmaids bought their dresses from iCandee. It was a long Mauve (the colour of my wedding) dress. All of them had a different style which they chose.
Dané Van Niekerk did our photos. The most incredible person I have ever met. I am so happy we found her.
She captured our special day from 10:00 the morning till late.
The Nutcracker's very own Chef, Paul Henry prepared our food as well as our wedding cake.
