My best moment was when my dad walked me down the aisle, i am his last child of 5 and it was his first time celebrating his childs white wedding. After he was diagnosed of Cancer 3years ago all i ever wished for was for him to get better and live to walk me down the aisle. 2nd moment was when i said my vows to my hubby and listening to his, we had our own personal message to share and that was priceless.
Yes we did go, 2 weeks after the wedding at Mpumalanga The Alveston Hotel and Spa for a weekend away, we had breakfast in bed, Spa treatments and candle light dinner. It was relaxing and quiet which is what we needed.
We had a garden wedding, the colour theme was white, gold and a touch of green. I bought my dress at Dance and Costume @hire but took it for alterations to modernize the top park and it was a mermaid dress with a long trail and the top part was a brown lace that looked like my skin with white patterns and i had gold and glitter sissy boy heels on. I did my hair by my hair dresser which was a neat bun with white pins and have my make up Artist Paula who worked her magic on my face and made me look like an Angel.
We got married at Blue Mango lodge in Pomona Kempton Park, it is a beautiful garden venue and a lodge with a beautiful open hall that suited our theme and colours,beautiful white walls and clean white drappings.Their garden was beautifully manicured, their deco was amazing and food was so delicious and well presented by an awesome team and good service. We had booked a room for me and my bridesmaids to change in and after the wedding me and my hubby stayed the night and woke up to an amazing breakfast.
I started on Cabbage soup died a month before my wedding needed to lose 5kg for my dress and i did, i am a beauty therapist so i have been good with my skin treating it at home using professional products like Filorga Thalgo and the body shop products .i was going every second week for massages to help ease the preparation fatigue and i did my own hands and feet nails at work 2days before the wedding and was ready for my day.
We had a combination of round and square tables with a white table cloth on the tables, a gold napkin, gold underplates and white plates with a gold thank u bag on, gold cutlery and full green mixed flowers across the table, Our table was rerectangular with with cloth and green mixed flowers in the front, we also had the same gold napkin with gold underplates and the stage was covered in white and had a white draping on the wall, it had a clean and simple look that brought in a atmospher of elegance and beauty.
My hubby was wearing an off white italian 5peace suite from Bellacci, with off white shoes and his groomsmen were casual in a white shirt, gold suspenders that we ordered from Stiched (cape town) gold pants and brown shoes all from Edgards.
My bridesmaids were wearing gold long with a slit dresses with gold shoes, they each bought shoes at different stores and the dresses were inspired by a picture in Pinterest i liked the dresses because they were simple and elegant plus the colour was perfect for my theme. I had them made by my dressmaker (Mama Bijoux) making them and they looked gorgeous.
Our marriage officiator was our Prophet from our church, he is an amazing Man who has build and groomed us, he guided us through our wedding day and marriage with sessions of marriage concelling before the wedding and lots of prayers and prophecy to help us have our day as perfect as it was, and has helped us build a good marraige foundation. We love and appreciate him so much.
Freddy was a God send to us for his affordable prices and good quality professional photos are amazing. We are grateful to him to deliver such quality pictures and we had hired student photographer company for their videography, amazing work both had put in and amazing result we got. Thank u!
Yes, Daisy is her name and she was our coordinator she delivered amazingly beautiful result everything was how i wanted and even better, i would like to acknowledge my 3sisters as well for helping out with the flower arrangement and getting my chapel drapping right.
I did not use any transport because i got dresed in our room that we rented for the day where the ceremony and reception was, so i walked to the ceremony but my husband and his groomsmen drove in with a white latest BMW X2 and a Gti 7. The guys were happy and enjoyed their transports.
Blue Mango lodges chef which i forgot his name did prepare our food, he was so helpful and passionate with his work that we had a meeting weeks before the weeding to discuss the food and to advice on it. And our cake was made by must have cakes in Kempton Park it was cute, all white and only 2 tear of vanilla and carrot.
Tshepo from Foto fanatic designed our thank you cards for our guests and we bought the gift bags.
We had a beautiful reception the wall itself was amazing it had a touch of green plants and a feel of the outside, we did dance to our favourite song of Beyonce Ave Maria but because we ddnt take any dance lesson it wasnt that good cause we practised ourself at home and it didnt matter how many times we practised my huuby can never dance. We had a Dj playing Dj Sleek and he was a hit and a Jam. We had a guy who always provides us with sound and speakers and he was so helpful.
