The build up to the wedding was a rollercoaster of emotions. Being our own wedding planners from start till end was super fun and exciting but the stress of having rainy weather on the day was the most traumatic. With god's grace we pulled of the most magical garden wedding and everything was completed right down to the last detail thanks to family and friends and especially our decor expert that materialised every vision of ours. I remember every smell,every movement and the joys and laughter that filled the air. The whole wedding experience was one out of our own fairytale.
I think because of all the stress my body refused to respond to me right
after the wedding. I took ill but we had a short holiday in Zimbali. Hopefully in the near future we will plan a proper honeymoon. Weird enough Mozambique was on top of our list...no lie.
I was a tamil bride and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. I am all about colours and fun and that is what I portrayed throughout my wedding including my reception. I always wanted to portray a traditional tamil bride one day and mission accomplished. I have to give thanks to my amazing service providers at Etre Belle Studio in Durban Neil Ramautar on make up and kesh on hair. They made me feel like the whole world stopped to look at me. It was an overwhelming feeling to look and feel that amazing.
And how can I forget...my mum draped my sari exactly how it needed to be in order to hide those bulges and keep me comfortable the entire ceremony. Thanks mum!
Our fantasy wedding unfolded in the location of Yellowood Park in Durban, Steinbank Nature Reserve (Coedmore Castle)
It set the exact mood we wanted for the day. What better than being part of nature and we wanted nothing more.
We had the most amazing team on our side,Kavesh Manick from Events by design. Everything was done to perfection! Nothing more or less to describe what we saw that day. Despite the threatening of rain,the emergency back up tent was installed quite late the day before the wedding,Kavesh and his team worked around the clocked to make this couple the happiest they could've ever been on their biggest day yet. I will recommend him to anyone who has a vision that wants to be brought to life.
My groom is a classic man! Although it was a traditional tamil wedding he fused the styles,traditional yet having a modern twist to it. Everyone knows we are not a conventional couple so he rocked a very outstanding apple green and gold attire. He looked like royalty!
We had the privilege of using K&S images. We had done our pre-wedding shot with them as well. Damn we loved how they captured us. We are still awaiting picz and videos as the wedding just happened not so long ago...eagerly awaiting...
Our theme was vintage and we love anything old school and vintage so we opted for a vintage.
We had family friends with the old school rides we needed.
Food and catering was done by events by design which was delicious from the numerous feedback and comments we received from our guests.
Cake was exactly what we has envisioned done by Cake in a cup....beautiful and tasty!
I designed and printed and prepared everything!

Our reception was exactly what he had wanted. We had our favourite band 2 Unique playing and really got the party and celebrations going. Our guests just could not get enough,kept requesting 1 more song upon another until we really had to vacate the venue. They were amazing as usual!
We had a jam packed dance entertainment done by my hubby and myself as well as family and friends from both parties.
My sister was the choreographer and teacher for all our sequences and for most of them they were first timers but on the day no one could tell.
She was amazing and super talented dancer and teacher.
