A funny moment was when we had an unexpected guest join the bride and groom’s table, a huge rainspider. He came back twice to be apart of our special day. My husband has a fear of spiders, I had to save him.
We did a road trip along the coast to Stillbaai and are going to Thailand, Koh Phi Phi island in a few days time for part two.
We went on a road trip along the coast, South Africa and stayed in Stillbai. We went shark cage diving in Mosselbay, what an experience! We are leaving in a few day to travel to a Thailand for part 2.
I had my hair curled to the side, draped over my shoulder, makeup was fairly natural, my dress was plain at the bottom, lace at the top, mermaid style, long veil with flowers, silver shoes with Natalie design on the heel, my earrings matched my flower butterfly head crown.

We decided we wanted something different and unique, so we had an outside wedding. The Ceremony was held at a private exclusive forest Venue, in Muldersdrift and our reception was at The Bridge Venue in Muldersdrift.
Some of the bridal party stayed the night as well as the Bride and Groom.
The Bridge is one of Muldersdrifts hidden treasures. We do not charge venue hire! An old converted farmhouse set in tranquil gardens beside the banks of the Wilgespruit.
I had overseas guests staying with us so we did lots of traveling and fun activities before the wedding. I did have my nails done at Just Nails and body waxes done at Sorbet, before the wedding. Apart from that I was too busy traveling with guests to have anything else done. I really enjoyed it, took all the pressure off and made it more exciting and enjoyable.
Our decor was very simple and suited the relaxed magical forest theme. We had white lanterns hanging in the forest, white paper butterflies hanging from the trees, a spectacular flower arrangement on the side of the arch, bird cage with flowers on the registry table, memory garden for loved ones who no longer are with us, signs for pic a seat not a side your loved by both groom and bride, white curtain hanging in the forest for the entry of the bride, pot plants with white flowers down the isle on top of tree stomps, had our cake on a wooden cake stand under a gazebo facing the river, white table cloths, Martin chair tie backs, wooden log with floral arrangements, gift favours our love is the balm and let our live grow, all in maroon gift bags with a maroon flower on top. Decor was done by Xenie Creations, all decor was imported.

We had a beautiful vintage car 1932 Chrysler Plymouth 4 seater Sedan, Maroon and black.
We made use of Old Timers Classic Car Hire.
Our lovely wedding cake was made by Maxine Pfafferott. The tasty three course meal was made by The Bridge.
Our beautiful wedding invitations were printed and designed overseas and imported.
We had a musician and a DJ for the reception. We tried to learn a dance before the wedding and on the day we just went within the moment, what felt most natural and comfortable.
