The amazing feeling of walking down the beach with a violinest following and the feeling of excitement and butterflies. The greatest highlight although was having everyone who has great meaning in our lives in an intimate set up, making an amazing effort not only to celebrate with us but being apart of the make up of the wedding. And of coarse my first sebrage!!
Not yet but have big dreams of a tropical island honeymoon. Better start saving!
Wedding look was definately up-dressed beach wear with a colour scheme of deep plums, light purples and white. Wedding dress was a mermaid cut with lots of accent beading rented at Special Occasions Bellville. Shoes were plum havaianas. Make up was softer more natural look I went for. My hair was a curled mohawk with accents of purple and red matching the bouquet colour scheme. Both make up and hair done by Parlor Hair and Make-up in durbanville. Jewellery was a gift from a mother figure in my life.
We got married at a more private beach called kreeftebaai on the west coast and the reception was held at a little bistro and boutique wine shop called Urban Wines in durbanville.
I only engaged in a little bit of extra physical activity and healthy eating which took care of all of that.
Decore at the beach was simply a white arch draped with white linen and 2 beautiful flower arrangemnts strategically placed with the ocean and table mountain in view. As for the reception, this was very uncomplicated and minimalistic. Guest tables had a centre piece of a mirror slate with and arrangement of 3 different sized wine glasses turn up side down with plum carnations in, topped with white candles and strings of pearls and fairy lights between. White tie backs on brown leather chairs. White table cloths on round tables with plum runners. Main table had a beautiful arrangement of plum carnations and lillys. Lighting was mostly fairy lights and soft spot lights directed at surrounding wine displays. White chinese laterns suspended from a black ceiling. Lit oil laterns made up the pathway to wine barrels with a selection of oyesters, charcuterie and cheese platters with a welcome drink of local MCC from Kleinroosboom. Shot glasses with names and table numbers filled with creme liqueur to find your seat. All decore rental was done through Caterix in Brackenfell. All flowers were supplied and arranged by Michelle from New Vintage Events in Brackenfell.

The "Groom" my wife wore a darker tan skinny fit short, plum long sleeve shirt with rolled up sleeves. White suspenders, plum thongs (slops) and a silver watch. Outfit was all sourced from Markhams and watch purchased at American Swiss. Her "Groomsman" Bridesmaid wore an Infinity plum dress with ribbon foot accessories. Dressed rented at Special Occasions.
My bridesmaid also wore a plum Infinity dress with matching ribbon foot accessary. This she purchased on her own.
