Well, were to start? Every aspect of our day was imperfectly perfect. I ran around, yes on my own wedding and couldnt really take in much whilst getting ready... BUT the moment I started walking down that aisle towards my Future, my truest blessing... my husband... everything just dissapeared and all I could see was him! At that moment, I felt nothing but overwhelming love and joy! Then of course my hubby vowed the most amazing words and promises, things that only we knew about, true and personal vows that just blew me away! To praise and worshipping our Father by singing together again for the 1st time in a long time as part of our ceremony ( which was how we met in the first place) This and the dance with my Hero, my Father... was deffinately thr highlights of our day.
Ooooh goody!! We went to Bali for 15 days! What an amazing experience! Booked litterally the flight tickets and the first 4 nights stay in Kuta... that was it! Then we simply went with the flow...From Riding a scooter through the townships, to riding up The Volcano Mount Agung. From being dubbed “gelato” by my hubby Ruan from all the Gelato ice creams I had to experiencing the local open fire chicken satay and hidden beaches in Uluwatu. Just amazing and blessed to have had this absolute adventure with the love of my life!
I went for a modern yet classic look. My DREAM Wedding gown was made and hand beaded with pearls, which is my birth stone by the extreamily talented Johan Botha from Johan Botha Fashion Design - I wanted something wow and was obsessed with a crusted bodice as well as the mermaid style from the get go. Johan also made my veil, added the beaded appliques which I ordered from abroad to my Custom dyed Anella Bridal Shoes as well as custom made my garter for me wich matched my shoes as I ordered these beaded appliques too! My hair was done by the amazing Liesl from Hair and Make - Up by Liesl - I wanted a fresh yet elegant upstyle and she gave me just that! My stunning hair colour was thanx to the brilliant Marizka at Pasquale hair stylists in Glen Marais - Marizka did not rest untill I was absolutely happy with my hair colour! My Make-up was done by Irene Koukouzellis from Beauty 101 with Irene and Beuki, Irene went out of her way as I wanted a total glam look with sparkly rose gold eyeshadow paired with a smoldering smokey eye - I adored my make-up! My earings was my surprise wedding present from my Husband after seeing them at our Manufacturing Jeweler - Adele’s Manufacturing Jewelry - a tear drop like style with a centre blue saphires and clear cubics set in Sterling Silver, which I spotted and mentioned that these would be perfect in Rose gold and only white/clear cubics - Well, he completely knocked my socks off when my maid of honor presented me with a present from him the evening before the big day - my Rose Gold PERFECT earings!! I just loved them and they looked amazing! Paired with my earings, I wore two pearl bracelets which I borrowed from my bridesmaid as my something borrowed as well as a rose gold bracelet covered in bling which I bought from Lovisa along with my bridal comb which also had delicate pearls on the edges of the branch-like wires. As my something old, I carried with me a 5 generation hand embroided handkerchief which my grandmother gave to me as a keepsake.

We got married at the stunning Lavandou Wedding and Events Venue! What an amazing team! Sanja went over and above to help and make sure everything is in order even with all the hurdles we had troughout the morning! Just a stunning venue with an outside, open air, woodsy chapel and over all Old Frech house style! We just loved our venue and could not have asked for more!
I firsly tried to get my hair and skin in a good condition. So I used the whole range of Nivea skincare and the Nu-skin hair mask treatment. Along with that, I wanted to loose a little weight as I had stopped smoking short after my Engagement in June 2017 which caused a little unwanted kilos hehe. So I followed a stricked diet and got myself a personal trainer for the last month leading to the venue. Walter from 67 Training was just amazing and got me in tip-top shape for the big day!
The Decor was one of the most important elements to myself and my husband. We wanted the wow factor! So we went for a natural meets modern elegance feel using a colour scheme of petrol blue, elephant grey and rose gold. Only white flowers and greenery done by Jeanne from Bride in Bloom. Rectangular wood tables with a petrol blue nylon tulle runner, rose gold geometric shapes and some stone marble boxes and candles - which we created the stone marble look on them ourselves- for the modern element. Rustic flowers with wood table numbers and geometric woodern keyrings as place card/guest favours. High flower centre pieces with hanging flowers which me made the structures for ourselves. Low flower centre pieces with greenery and white flower glarlands and a rose gold candelabra. A modern 4 tear cake which my mom made. Custom made geometric woodern shape for the perspex seating plan. Loads of geometric and rose gold decor which we rented from Abdolute Perfection events and furniture hire, Dream Canvas and Cafe Fleur. Over all loads of elements which we feel looked amazing together.
My husband wore a 5 piece tailored made to measure suit in petrol blue suiting and a stunning blue paisley brocade made by the amazing guys at Fops Tailors. Complete with tan coloured shoes from Aldo, custom made Rose gold geometric cufflinks and tieclip with his initials engraved on them and his watch which I bought him as my wedding gift to him. I also had a personal messages engraved on it at the back of the watch. The groomsmen bought theie elephant grey suits from designer warehouse and wore petrol blue waist coats and bow ties to complete te look.
My stunning bridesmaids wore the most gorgeous dresses we had made by the very talented and lovely Teresa from Tree Couture. Also in the colour petrol blue. I found the design on pinterest a knew that I had to have these dresses for my girls - and MAN they all looked stunning! It was quite a mission trying to find the petrol blue material for the dresses especially the lace, but just as we wanted to give up... we found it at Habby and Lace in Vereeniging. With this they wore their hair up in an elegant modern pony tail, rose gold earings and nude heels from Forever new
Awww this was special as it was my Husbands Step-Father, Chris Engelbrecht whom is sooo close to both our hearts! It was such an honor having him marry us!
We were sooooo lucky to have Zeone Burger from June & July capture our magical day in both photo and video. She did not miss one second of our day and went far above what was ecpected from her. She even carried my dress around and helped me remove my shoes when my feet started to throb! Zeone is not just amazing at what she does but she had an absolute passion. I would not have wanted it any other way!

My mom Debbie Hamm, made our spectacular 4 tear cake just the way we invisioned it! We decided to only have the bottom tear which looked like stone marble, actual cake in two flovours - the one half was tripple chocolate cake with speculoos cookie filling and the other half was a strawberry vanilla cake with rasberry cream filling.
I designed the stationary myself as I do have photoshop and designing experience, and then we had it put together and printed by Invitation Cafe in Cape town
The reception was a blast! We had an awesome Dj - who was provided by Lavandou as well. The guests were enjoying the music the whole night and we danced untill our feet were numb. Myself and my husband had a few lessons from Trish whom choreographed Our 1st dance for us! We loved to finally be able to learn how to dance together! It was sooo much fun!
