The highlight of my wedding day was seeing Him standing in front waiting for me. It felt like the whole world stopped. And only him and I mattered. Seeing all our loved once's when we walked out the Church, the smiles, everyone was happy. that meant a lot.
We left for Mauritius 2 days after our wedding, that was amazing.
Our wedding Theme was rustic vintage. My hare and make up was done by Salon dalyla. My hair was curled up to the side to show my back lays dressed. My make up was golden brown with a light lipstick. Lingerie was not a lot as my address had a corset inside, I had a lased panty with gold ends. I got diamond stud's for my ears, a bracelet and my tiara was given to me by my sister that she worn 14 years ago on her wedding day. My shoes, When Hubby fitted on his suite, I saw that silver pair of shoes at Bride & Co. I knew this was the shoe for me as my bridesmaids dress was the same colour.
We got married at Sha-mani wedding venue in Alberton. The guests could stay over as they have accommodation as well.
I only had two sessions of sunbed at Salon Dalyla
Multifloria did our flowers. My mother in law works for them so she knew what we wanted. Thankful for her to assisted in all the table decor. The rest we did by ourselves. Our center pieces was Eucalyptus leaves, the white little flower in a s form over the table. along with 4 scented vanilla candles. Our table numbers was wood. Our guests was pointed to they tables by take a shot and take a seat. Our DJ came with the venue, so he did all the lighting in the church and venue.
We got everything from Woolworths ( Daved Jones collection). They had brown shoes with grey pants and a white shirt with brown spandex and a brown bow tie on.
I saw a pic of 4 ladies in the same colour dress but all top was a difference design. This is what the wore only in light grey, my mad of honors dress was dark grey. They had there dresses made by a Lady in springs.
Dominee Johan Heyns. He has been in My Husbands family for years.
Our Photographer was a wedding present from my brother in law and his partner. K&K photographer. she was absolutely amazing. On arrival she first staring taking pictures of the chapel and venue. As the venue was really rustic she loved every minute. she came to the ladies, took photos of us getting ready, then went to the men. When all was done, the moved to the chapel, waited for me. After the ceremony we took pictures of the bridal squad. Then only me and my husband. she had great ideas and the photos she took, takes me back to that day.
The only person that assisted was one of sha-mani's staff members. Just to make sure everything went well, his name was Kallie
We didn't have wedding transport as the church service and venue was at the same place.
The food was made by our wedding venue, the guest got cheese and bread with wine for social hour. Mains was roasted Beef or roasted chicken. Veg, cream spinach, carrots and pumpkin fritters. Rice and roasted potatoes. Dessert was Cheese cake and malva with custard.
My cake was made by a family member Mita Lombaard. It had 3 tears, colours going from white faced in to dark grey. this cake was a chocolate cake with caramel.
I designed it and printed it myself.
The reception was just amazing. We did not take dance lessons as we can dance hahaha. Our DJ came with the venue. He did the lighting and all. Everyone after the wedding complimented us about the great day they had. the dance floor was never empty. When I think back at my day, I always saw everyone smiling.
