Sho, what a difficult question, but the highlight of my special day was seeing my best friend standing on the other side of the aisle. Seeing his face and knowing we were going to join as one and spend the rest of our lives together, I couldn't have been happier. It was the fairytale that any girl could have dreamed of... Being on a high was thee best and I still haven't come down!
Our honeymoon was my first international trip so I couldn't have been more excited! We saved and decided to head to the famous Thailand for a week and enjoy a stopover in Abu Dhabi for 2 days. The experiences were incredible, new things to see and even better knowing it was our honeymoon!
I decided i wanted a clean but elegant look to my wedding and needless to say I received everything I dreamed of! My mom made my dreams come true and I had my beautiful dress hand made by Wendy based in Sunward Park. My make up was done by the talented Monique van den Heever professional make-up artist, and my hair done by Tanya based at Swartz Hair & Beauty Salon. My mom surprised me with custom "Ms to Mrs" underwear from the amazing Bra's n Things shop that recently just opened on the East Rand. My stationery was everything I wanted and more, working with the talented Kelly from Rude Design was the best decision I could have made. Being a graphic designer, I know how tricky things can be with wedding invitations and well, Kelly saved me tons of time & hassles! My jewellery and shoes were very simple (Just the way i preferred it) and got the perfect heels at Shoe Empire & my jewellery from NWJ Jeweller's. My Flowers were done by Karien Saincic and everything came together with the perfectly talented Photographer - Nicolene Meyer! She is absolutely incredible!

We got married at the beautiful Harmonie Proteas based in Rayton. We had guests who decided to stay over and had accommodation rooms available on the venue. Both Beautiful and convenient for everyone.
I would definitely have to say Health & Fitness... I joined the Monique Fit movement With Monique Lopes, both an incredible coach and the most down to earth person I have ever come across. For anyone looking for help, more self love or even a confidence boost, give her a shout! (You wont be sorry!) I am still continuing another journey with her and will continue to do so in future! :)
I loved the idea of adding gold to my wedding colours (Navy & Blush) and so i turned to both my dad and older brothers. I loved the geometric look to weddings and I know they would be able to help me with that... My dad and both Brothers jumped in and helped create all my shapes that were used as decor for the reception of our wedding. We had them cleaned and spray painted gold and I couldnt have been happier! Family is incredible! :)
We found our suit for the groom at the China mall - super cheesy but we found the perfect one! The groomsmans pants were found at Woolies, along with their shirts. Ties were found at the China Mall in the exact shade of blush that we were looking for - cant say we had to think twice about their things!
When in doubt, Bride & Co will always be there to help! Our first round of dress searching was a disaster - needless to say I found the perfect infinity dresses at Bride & Co in the perfect shade needed!
Our marriage Officer was Craig Seely from Life House Church based in Cinderella.
Ah, the most amazing photographer of all time!!! Nicolene Meyer Photography... she was absolutely incredible and couldn't have asked for better!
We didn't have a planner four our special day... Between myself and my now husband, we dealt with all the suppliers and organised everything from the get go...
We didnt have wedding transport, everything we needed was on the venue.
Our food was prepped by the chefs and kitchen based at the venue. The food was absolutely delicious! Yes - I was a bride who was definitely going to eat and couldn't have been more excited about food - who doesn't love food!!!
Our wedding cake & doughnuts were made by the talented Xanthe Korsman-weissnar at Miz Gooz Berry - Handmade Foods. Is it totally bad that I had 2-4 doughnuts? :)
Our DJ for the day was Erich Landman from Core music DJ company based in Rayton.. Such a vibrant person and listened to out every request... Even the random ones my husband had... He did an outstanding job and had great suggestions we had never even thought of... We were really blessed as we found him while he was running a massive special! What a blessing!
