We were so blessed to have had a weekend wedding with all our family and friends.
The wedding day was a highlight in our lives.
I was so blessed to not feel stressed that day, to be able to enjoy every moment and know that everything will be special.
The most memorable moments for me was to see both my father and husband's reactions when they saw me.
I never thought that those moments could bring so much emotion... that made me feel so blessed.
I hope I will be able to relive and cherish the memories of our wedding for many years to come.
We were fortunate enough to visit the beautiful island of Mauritius.

We got married at Elandskloof farm, Helderstroom (near Greyton).
When we drove through the gate we knew this was the one. This was truly the most beautiful venue.
I wanted a vintage look and they ticked all the boxes for it. My husband wanted a weekend wedding and they accommodated us from the Thursday until the Sunday.
All our guest stayed at the same farm in different cosy cottages.
I must admit I work too hard and was fortunate to be able to plan my own wedding.
I am blessed with good genes, so luckily I could skip the gym for a month or two.
The best decision me and my husband made was to go to the spa together.
The last two weeks leading up to the wedding is overwhelming for both the bride and groom.
Decor: was mostly DIY. I wanted to be involved in the wedding as much as possible as it is the best day of our lives.
I had a very rustic look and had a lot of small flower vases for the tables.
My parents made big scrabble blocks for the table numbers and I used vintage (like grandma's) cookie jars for the sweetie table.
Flowers: was mostly burgandy, gream and blush. I had the most amazing supplier Artica Designs- located in Paarl (Liesl Lambrechts)

We went on a shopping spree to find their beautiful dresses.
I wanted them to feel comfortable and choose their own dresses- as long as the colours are close to the same.
Two of the dresses was bought at YDE and the other one was bought at a boutique.
It was a close family friend and priest from Prieska (Northern Cape).
It was his sadly his last wedding (before retirement)... He did in total 813 wedding and ours being the last one on the 13th of October.

They are the most amazing people who proves that couples can make such a great team and work well together.
They made us feel so special and comfortable the whole time.... with a couple of laughs a long the way.
I wanted to take in every moment of this wedding from the beginning to the end.
My husband and I planned the wedding and our friends and family gave us so much support and love... even the day before the wedding they helped us with the set up.

As mentioned... we had the Best of the Best.
When we met one of our photographers, I explained to her the look we want to go for which was of course vintage.
I showed her a picture of a car I wanted to find in CPT to meet our needs... lo and behold she told me her father had the exact same car which we then hired.
We wanted to show our support and asked a local supplier near Greyton to cater for us.

The best parents in the world did most of the stationary for the wedding.
My parents have a laser cutter and printed our beautiful menu's, table numbers and ceremony programs.
We had a DJ at the ceremony and reception.

He did such an amazing job. We didn't experience any problems with lights or sound.
He had everyone on the dance floor... and that is the reason we had to ask him to stay until 03am :)
