My wedding began the night before, with friends and family eating pizza at the spice route. Followed by a relaxed morning of brunch, make up and a lot of hairspray; is was then the time when I got to marry the love of my life. This was followed by ice cream trucks, line dancing and a whole lot of laughter.
Yes, we went to Italy. It began in Rome, went on to Milan and Lake Como and ended in Venice.
My dress was made by Cindy Bam, the most incredible designer out there. She made me feel like the most beautiful bride in the world at every visit, I choose my dress with my mom. This was an experience I wanted to share only with her.
My Hair was up, to create a romantic, whimsical look, which was done by Helga Strydom's hair team. My make-up was classic, beautiful and was finished off with my everyday 'pink plaid' MAC lipstick. (LOVE).
The only jewelry I wore that day were small pearl earrings that my mother had gifted for maid of honor at my mother wedding. Her maid of honor was present at my wedding too. It was very special to wear something that was present the day my parents got married.
My shoes were low block heal Steve Madden shoes, finished with some glitz.
We got married at Diamant Estate, where out closest family and bridal party stayed for 2 nights. This included breakfast and lunch for all guests. Their farm manager, Tarryn, was incredible and made the experience so enjoyable and stress free.
To be honest, I lacked a pre wedding gym routine, I ate, shopped, planned and loved. I enjoyed my time and did not focus too much on being the skinniest bride. I do regret this to a degree, but my husband loves me curves and all.
I went on antibiotics for my skin (3months prior to the wedding) to ensure a clear skin for the day. This coupled wth Environ products and a good exfoliator !
Nails!!! A light baby pink gel. My favorite by Minelliart.
Jade Customized Events !!!!!! Jade was my wedding fairy, she could read my mind and make my vision come to life even when I was confusing myself.
We went for rustic, as I wanted a farm style wedding. Laid back and focused on family and fun. We execute this by adding King Proteas, cream rose like flowers and lots of greenery. Hanging naked bulbs, and nude colors. At the last minute we added 5 crystal chandeliers which added a bit of charm to the evening.
The main items were wood, crystal, pink and greenery. Natural and gorgeous all rolled into one.

The groom wore a navy Fabiani suit, with a light pink tie flown in from London, as this was the hardest thing to find in Cape t

The groomsmen wore similar navy suits hired from 'The top hat' in Cape Town center, with matching ties.
Jade made rustic looking button holes for the boys.
The was all finished off with brown leather shoes.
I had the dresses made by Valencia Harrison. They had a shortened ball gown style dress with a sweetheart neckline. They went poofy, as this was the opposite to my dress. They wore navy and matched the groomsmen.
Their hair was down with relaxed waves, with gentle make up.
The looked like older ballerinas in navy tutus.
Michael Craig from Claremont Congregational church. He also performed out premarriage counselling. [we passed ;)]
Jessie De Bruin made being in front of the camera so easy. Her personality makes having her at your wedding a delight, and at the end she felt like a part of the wedding.
Jacques from Guava graphics had the mammoth task of capturing our day on camera to make a short clip of it all. He was fantastic, funny and made it easy to be ourselves. Even though we felt like the Kardashians half the time. haha.
Jade from Jade Customized Design made sure I was a 'Bride Chilla' and not a 'Bride Zilla". I had no worries or concerns, as I had complete faith in Jade's abilities and taste.
My wedding was the best wedding, and she was the mastermind behind the whole thing. She executed our vision so perfectly, and captured parts of us in every detail. She is a miracle worker.
She was also responsible for the flowers with her company Design-a-Bloom. (AMAZING).
Lighting and set up were all her baby too.
As we were staying on the property, I walked with my father.
Red Pepper Catering made sure or guests didn't starve, with delicious food.
Tessa's bakery made our two tear wedding cake, chocolate and caramel, semi naked.
We had an ice cream truck for dessert, by the soft company. Amarula and Fererro Rocher flavor soft serve.

Epro Products, made fabulous welcome boards, signs and hangers that added a personalized touch to our special day.
We took 4 dance lessons with John Hamman Dance to work out our first dance to a country song. They added a line dance and made it ours, which was so special.
Music was Mischa Dreamfolk, who sang to our hearts during the canapés.
Silk music was there to play my favorite country songs, and keep the dance floor full.
