The highlights of the day was definitely getting to marry the love of my life!!!Other highlights is having fantastic food that all our guests loved,we almost didn't get to have some of our own wedding cake as there was not a single piece left. We also had a lovely time dancing on the dance floor (some guest were even stiff the next day). Last of all we didn't have clear weather as it rained and stopped all through the day,but it was FUN!!! We were definitely blessed by the rain!
YES!!!! We went to Umhlanga Rocks and stayed at the Capital Pearls Hotel. We felt very special at the hotel as everybody knew we are newly weds and did their very best to make us feel extra special. We had lovely walks on the beach,went to Ushaka marine world for the day and had a lovely boat ride back in Umhlanga and saw dolphins in their natural habitat.
It was short,but it was all worth it!!!!!!We only had 3 days of honeymoon as I work at schools and can't take leave,but we wanted to go away even if it was only for the weekend.

I wanted to do very dark make-up for myself as I have never done something very dark as I am very fair skinned. My hair was tied up with braids along the side and I had some crystals in my braids to finish the look.My hair and makeup was done by Marzaan from Rosalee-makeup. My lingerie was all white with a little bit of lace, it was bought from Woolworths. My jewellery was very dainty as I don't like big bulky things. It was bought from different jewellery stores in Woodlands Mall. My wedding dress was designed especially for me. It was all white lace. It had a lot of buttons in the back and not a very long slay. It was exactly what I wanted!
We had this cute little vintage venue called De Haven Oost. They did absolutely every little thing to make our day special and we didn't need to worry about a thing. Everything looked and tasted spectacular and we definitely had our fairy tale wedding at De Haven Oost.
Our venue had accommodation for our guest on the premises it self and we had 18 guest staying the night and having breakfast with us the next morning.
I didn't do anything different from normal. I just changed my toothpaste a few months before to olgani detox to whiten my teeth. Other from that my routine stayed the same.
Our flowers we bought at the flora market in Johannesburg. We had a few different flowers which included, roses,lavender,chip and a few others. The flower decorations was all done by my bridesmaids and myself. Our décor was all done by De Haven Oost, they provided all table décor except our under plates which was designed and cut by Laser-Innovations. These under plates where also the gifts for our guest to say thank you for coming.
The groom was dressed in a navy blue suit with brown shoes and belt. The groomsmen where all dressed in a light brown suit with brown shoes and belt. The groomsmen suit was all bought at John Craig in Cradlestone mall. The groom and groomsmen shoes was bought at Woolworths Cradlestone Mall. All belts where hand made. The groom had straps made especially for his watch designed by Outlaw straps. All ties where made by the same person that made my wedding dress.
My bridesmaids wore a skirt called an Anna skirt with a top. The skirts were sage of colour with a mint tulle over it. Each girl chose their own style top, but all the tops were the same colour of white. Their look was created by Gelique in Pretoria East.
Our marriage officer was Ds. Marlize Gasson of the Nederduits Hervormde Kerk (Benoryn).
Our photographer was Carmia of carmia philzani photography, and her assistant was her fiancé named Ben from Knapse kêrel produksies. They were absolutely amazing and the few photo's we received as a teaser are STUNNING!
We did not have a photo booth, but swapped the photo booth for a night shoot,the rain helped to get stunning photo's at night.
Yes;we had a planner that the venue provided. Her name is Nikita and her assistants name is Shanie. They did the job better than I could have imagined, they were AWESOME BEYOND!!!!
We had a vintage car named a hub mobile, provided by Tienkels vintage car hire.
De Haven Oost made the food for our wedding and it was delicious,people still can't stop talking about how delicious it was.
Our cakes where made by The Fat Panda couture cakes{Nikita} and it was all eaten up, if our wedding planners didn't save us a piece we would have only eaten the small piece we have cut together.
My husband designed all our stationary himself and my lovely bridesmaids printed our very unique newspaper.
Our invites was created and laser cut by Laser-Innovations and it looked absolutely stunning!
We had dance lessons for our reception a few months before our wedding until two weeks before the wedding. At the reception guest had lovely food to eat and we played some fun games such as the shoe game and where me and my husband needed to identify each other blind folded. We had a DJ at our reception which was also provided by our lovely venue De Haven oost.
