The most nervous day of my life but yet the best. You don't realise how much you will miss your parents until the day you greet them and leave their house, this was my wedding day. My father cried so much as he gives his first daughter away to marry and this was the highlight and a memory I will never forget, the way he held me as though I was a small child again. It was a beautiful moment and when he let me out his arms I knew he was content with the man I married. :) The next best moment was hearing my husband say his vow, the world stood still that very moment I became a Mrs.
We went to the beautiful fishing village on the West Coast, Paternoster.
I wanted to go for a very classic look but exquisite as well. My dress was a mermaid style that was made by R B Creations, based in Cape Town. He did an amazing job with the cut and shape of the dress and the skirt was spot on, I wanted a mermaid dress that has just enough volume on the skirt and I was extremely happy!
My hair had to be up showing my neckline and gorgeous earrings from Lovisa.
My Make was done by ONQ Make-Up artist, Quanita Abrahams - I told her I wanted a nude classic look and she gave me exactly what I ordered!
The outfit was completed by my stunning pink nude shoe from ALDO.
As much as i tried losing weight and eating right, the stress got the better of me and my progress went the other way! But I soon realised that I cannot be so hard on myself and in this time I need to look after myself and also enjoy every minute of it. I did enjoy the awesome SPA treatments by Life Day Spa in the Crystal Towers, Cape Town.
This was amazing!!!
My design for my wedding was vintage and I also wanted to have the flowers and the bird cages and raw log displayed on my guest tables and this is exactly what I got.
The hall had a dim pink light giving the background a soft and smooth touch, with the Victorian style decor and Tiffany chairs but the main item that made the look perfect was the fresh flowers, I had roses in a vintage tea cups displayed on a stack of old books, this was center pieces.
My two bridesmaids wore beautiful pink dresses, made by hand!
I used Eben Photography for my photos and Amour Cine for my Video!
The photos came out beautiful and I am waiting for the Video.
I had a fleet of beautiful Mercedes Benz
Barron's Caterers.
My cake was my made by my aunt, the most delicious carrot cake I have ever seen in a semi naked style with caramel dripping off the cake.
Myself and my Husband designed the stationary and went to Mediatrix to have it printed. Ding it yourself saves you a lot of money and you can put your special touch on there as well.
