Our wedding day, not only was it the biggest day of our lives but something that changed our lives forever.
Highlights of our special day was when we entered the chapel on Ed Sheeran's song 'Perfect' with my handsome groom walking in first then with the groomsmen and bridesmaids following and at last my dad and I entered and then he officiated it all.... Not only was the moment so spectacular we were blessed in abundance with showers of rain!!
Our first dance was not of the ordinary at all. Wish you were there, the moment was AWESOME.
It was magical.... A few days before our wedding I decided that all my hair growing was not what I wanted so I snipped it all of. Soft curls with a little twist my hair looked awesome thanks to Nicole vd Heever. Natasha vd Wath did a stunning job with my makeup, dramatic yet very natural . My shoes ( very comfortable ) were of the amazing Zellie collection. Jewellery was very subtle navy diamond earrings.
Then the best of all my dress, designed by Charissa Williams. Funny thing, the first time I saw the dress it was black. But I knew it was mine!!! Charissa did a fantastic job with my dress making it fit my body like a glove.
We got married just outside Christiana in the Warrenton direction at Oewer Kuier Venue. The guests booked a hotel in the town Die Wingerd.
I used what i regularly used, white Dove soad for mu skin. My fitness and health carried on like normal, I play netball for a club and could not dare lose or gain weight. No teeth whitening nor spa treatment. Just the normal daily things.
My decor decision was very rustic and "farmy". Plain and simple with Sunflowers all over. Wooden flower boxes and cake stand. Our out of this world love did not need extravagant decor. Just the things that describes us best.
My all so handsome hubby wore a navy short pants and white shirt with a navy chest flower. His groomsmen ( br'outjies) wore chino shortz and white shirts. All of them had matching belts and shoes to add to the look.
The bridesmaids ( strooinooitjies ) wore navy short dresses with light brown slip in shoes. The dresses I got fron Thruworths. They looked fabulously gorgeous!!!!!
I was honoured to be officiated by my dad. He is a pastor and had the privilege to walk me down the isle and marry us.
Kirsty Leigh Killian from Kiki-Lane captured all our special moments. All of the happy tears and laughter. She ran in the rain and kiked off her shoes to make our fairytale come alive in a photograph.
My mother and I planned and coordinated the whole wedding.
Our wedding car was a old yellow Ford single cab bakkie.
My family helped with the preperation of the snacks and strarter ( which was fruits in a plastic container with the serviet folded and placed in).
The venue prepared the food. Which was Potatoes, Green Beans with bacon, Pumpkin dumplings, steak and different salads to choose from.
The wedding cake was only a small cake with 120 cupcakes on the wooden stand. Made by a lady in Wesselsbron.
I designed and printed all of my stationary.
My invitations, the fans with the program for the chapel, the guest lists and table placing and the table numbers.
The party was full out FUN!!!!!
We did not take dance lessons but did have to practice with all of the groomsmen and bridesmaids. We had a bit different dance with the story how ee met fell inlove and where we are now.
We had a DJ, Theaan Gerber. He was on point the whole night!!! From the golden oldies songs till the latest beats.... Everyone had a blast on the dance floor!!!!
