Marrying across continents and culture was memorable. Loved the moment when my husband Kimeer placed the traditional red dot on my forehead. Listenened attentively to the priest and enjoyed reciting my vows in Hindi.
For the time I visited Cape Town and its beautiful scenic sites. My husband shared some of his memories in Cape Town with me.
Dressing up as an Indian bride was stressful. I had to adorrn a heavy bridal outfit and jewellery. Getting the veil to stay on my head was a challenge.
I stayed at Breakers Resort in Umhlanga Durban. It was on the beach and the sound of the waves had a calming effect on me. All the pre and wedding events took place there. My wedding was on the beach.
I had my beauty treatments done in Korea where I live before I came down to South Africa to get married. My hair was done at by an Indian lady trained to dress up Indian brides.
All decor and lightning was done by the wedding company Events by Design managed by Kavesh Mannick.
My husband wore suits made in Korea.
