Our wedding day was so beautiful .
One of the highlights for sure was waking up on the 1st day of the year 2018 knowing that I would be marrying my best friend . The moment I walked down the isle and the moment we exchanged our own vows we're undoubtedly some of the most special moments for me .
And of course , our first dance . Which was a compilation of different songs we love . Which included 'This is why I love you ' , 'She's got that vibe' by R Kelly and 'My Woman , My Everything' by Patoranking .
We spent our honeymoon at a beautiful beach house in Simonstown . Just a walk away from Boulders Beach .
Our wedding look was African inspired . We wanted to go for something vibrant , street-styled and trending but also simple . My husband and I are both dancers so we wanted to capitalize on that and make it unconventional. So we had the best of both worlds .
My hair was worn in an Afro as well as all my bridesmaids .
My Make-up was very minimal. I didn't want to wear too much and have my groom not recognize me while walking down the isle .
Make-up : By me.
Shoes : White Block heels and later Timberland boots (For our pictures) :)
Dress : A white mermaid gown with rouging and a chiffon cape made by Fren's Oikos .
Jewellery : Gold Cuffs and Chokers supplied by D-Era Accessories
We had our wedding ceremony at Belhar Church of the Nazarene and our reception was in a Marquee at New Hope Church SA.
My bridesmaids wore A-line African print dresses with a sweetheart neckline made by Fren's Oikos .
The accessories were gold chokers and cuffs , accompanied by gold clutch purses provided by D-Era Accessories.
Their shoes were Tan coloured block heels .
Our photographer for our special day was We-Dia productions . Phinius , our photographer, truly captured the essence of our day and brought our vision to life . He certainly captured every ounce of our personalities in every picture he took .
