Cutting the Cake. As we both struggled a bit with that. The icing was a bit hard but the inside of the cake was chocolate heaven. Saying our vows was amazing I was a combination of different emmotions, happiness, nervousness and excited all at the same time.
We were so fortunate for our honeymoon. My mother in law had bought us a trip to suncity for a whole week. For us both that was amazing as we bearly take off from work so a Week of bliss sounded like heaven. We had the best time, exploring, swimming, and just being together .
Iv been quite lucky as I own a small home based Beauty Salon. So I meet so many ladies in different industries who were able to pass on advice, contacts and information. My dress was a bit of stress though and didnt turn out exactly how I pictured but I was just so happy to have a lovely dress at the end of it all. My original dressmake dropped me 6 weeks before the wedding & luckily My wedding planner had advised me to go with ChicaLoca designer, Benita, who was helpful and worked quickly and efficiently . My wedding planner, Tracy Bradford from Trunk Events assured I had no stress & Kirsty Da Costa, makeup artist from Langaro Lifestyle centre was amazing with my makeup.
My shoes were something Blue & my Jewellery was all supplied by my amazing mother. My Hair was done by Anastasia Casablancas who is a mobile hair stylist and she did a great job. I was truly blessed with an amazing team .
We wanted a simple and easy Wedding and did a Beautiful Breakfast wedding at the Palm House Boutique Hotel in Upper Wynberg, Cape Town. They have the most beautiful garden & we wanted to do an outdoor wedding. So we had a morning wedding with the ceremony outside. It was convenient for guests and close so no need for anyone to stay over. Though I did stay over the night before with my two bridesmaids and we had the best time chatting and ordered some lovely supper and toasting to the next day.
Luckily I have the facility to do all my beauty treatments at home. So I gave myself a skin boosting Oxygen facial which boosts the skin, improves circulation, detoxes the skin, brightens & it includes Microdermabrasion so I got rid of all the stubborn dead skin build up. My nails were done by an amazing nail technician called Gail fortune, who is freelance but also works at Sorbet claremont . I am generally quite good with eating a healthy balanced diet and do a bit of Yoga & Cardio in my free time during the day.
I was quite lucky in this regard as I had Tracy from Trunk Events to do all my decor and planning . The colours I wanted were a touch of a gorgeous cobalt blue and white. Tracy used beautiful white roses for my bouquet and we didnt really have a huge reception . So planning was quite easy as our guests were about 50 guests.
The groom wore a stunning cobalt Blue fitted suit and so did the two bestmen. With brown Tie & Shoes from Woolworths.
The Suits Were from Mr Suit Hire Outside Kenilworth Centre, southern suburbs, Cape Town
Both Bridesmaids had their dresses made by a contact . A lady who is retired and is an old dressmake & was kind enough to do it as a favour .
Erica Murrey performed the ceremony . she is an anglican priest and even though she is retired I would have no other priest. She confirmed me when I was 15, married my mom and stepdad when I was 23 & I wanted her to perform our ceremony. It was special.
The amazing Larry English form LarryE Photography . We are so lucky as he is a very good friend of my Husband's & my Husband, Newton is from the industry (videographer, photographer, production) . So Larry shot amazing pictures and had done a bit of video.

Well I stayed over the night before with the bridesmaids at the venue. The Groom and the Bestmen arrived In my little white Fiat 500... so adorable.
The food, a breakfast buffet was supplied by the venue. And the Cake was made by a freelance Cake professional who does all occassions. Shirley
So no dancing and no Live Band, as it was a breakfast wedding . We had soft beautiful music in the background after the ceremony we all had breakfast then off for amazing picture in the Garden. Which after it was time to cut the cake, have champaigne, time for speeches and then the throwing of the garter and the brides bouquet.
