Our Wedding Day was just "Magical" no words can express the emotions and feelings felt on our Special Day. I remember having all these ideas in my mind of how the end product of our decor and bridesmaids and groomsmen attire would look, but nothing quite tied the picture together for me until our wedding day. I walked into our wedding venue, and the emotions where just so over whelming that tears ran down my face, tears of happiness and joy, my heart was so Happy, it was better than I could have ever imagined. I then approached the isle, and as I was walking down the isle, me and my husband locked eyes, nothing in this world could ever feel better than how I felt in that very moment. Looking at him waiting for me, he looked so handsome and tears filled his eyes as I approached him, as I finally reached him and he took my hand, it just felt right, like it was meant to be.
We spent a week on Honeymoon exploring the Garden Route. We started our honeymoon off with our wedding night spent at the Protea Marine Hotel in Port Elizabeth, the next day we then made our way to the Tsitsikamma/Storms River area where we spent the night in a lovely forest log cabin. The next day we then made our way all the way up to Mossel Bay, spent the night in Hartenbos Lagoon Resort, so tranquil and beautiful. The next day we did lots of site seeing in Mossel Bay and exploring the harbour and the point area, we then made our way down to Knysna where we spent our final two nights after which we made our way back to our Home Town Port Elizabeth.
I am such a Plain Jane kinda girl, so I decided to try something out of my comfort zone and something that many people might not have expected from me. I went with a vintage looking theme, yet trendy and slightly modern. I have always had a phobia about wearing a white wedding dress so in my case my dress was more or a cream/champagne colour and I loved it. My dress was very simple yet so very beautiful and it suited me and my figure all too well. Shoes, I wore a mustard wedge sandal, as my wedding colours were mustard and merlot hence my choice of shoe colour. As my something blue, I had blue takkies which helped me dance the night away. I wore a simple silver pearl earring and necklace/choker with a something borrowed pearl bracelet. I had a beautiful merlot garter with hand crafted beading attached, I loved it.
We got married in our home town which is Port Elizabeth, we were born born and bred in Port Elizabeth but have relocated to Johannesburg about two years ago, so it only made sense to get married in our home town surrounded by all our friends and family.
We got married at The Old Tramways Building, a refurbished old building with a rustic/vintage flair to it.
I am not very traditional in this sense, I am extremely easy going, If I wear make up once a year it would be seen as a lot, so I did what I always do, I did not follow any diet or any beauty regime I was just unapologetically "ME". I did have a pamper session done the day before my wedding which was amazing, and just relaxed me for what was laying ahead.
