The most memorable moment of the day most definitely was getting tangled up in my dress during our first dance.
We got married at IniSkuur Events and Styling. The farm had a magical relaxed feeling about it at the same time showing off all the beauty that the kalahari desert had to offer. Our ceremony under the tree and reception in an old renevated farm barn could not have been more picture perfect and our guests enjoyed the freedom of an isolated venue. A real jewel in the heart of the kalahari.
I decided that I would like to look and feel nothing more than myself on my wedding day, after all thats the woman my husband fell inlove with, therefore my regime did not change much. My bridesmaids and mother treated me to a spa day on my bachelorette party and my husband to be was to kind to treat me with at home facials and motivating me to excercise to boost my confidence.
As men would have it, it was up to me to plan there outfits. In keeping with our maroon colout scheme my mother urged me to dress the groomsmen in maroon chino pants and white button shirts and the groom in a cream chibono pant and white button shirt. It was a great choice as the dark colours pop against the more subtle on our photos. Pants and shirts were bought at woolworths and is now a great addition to all the mens closets
I had a spesific vision for my bridesmaids and was inspired by the latest rose gold trend. Being fair skinned myself white did not complement my skin tone and I wanted us all dressed in a colour palette. I was challenged at finding the perfect dress to fit all bodies as my bridesmaids beautiful in their own way was so very very different. At the end of the day I found my bridesmaids a cream (pinkish) colour shift dress om spree online which cost (on sale ) 275. The service was great andto each bridesmaids looked amazing. I would really urge any bride struggling to find a dress to fit any shape to go for a shift dress.
