The Honeymoon

 

We went on a small honeymoon in ballito for a week .

My Special Day

I went for a ball gown wedding dress made by Be Dazzled . It was everything I wanted and more .

My hair was done my a great hair stylist , Danielle Leite. For the ceremony I pulled my hair to one side hanging down my shoulder with natural looking curls , and then for the reception , I wanted a more relaxed feel , so I had my hair down and put a headband in across my forehead.

My make up was done by my bridesmaid Drew Mathie . She did an incredible job with a very natural look excentiating my eyes with a light pink lip .

I dressed my dress up with a very simple hanging crystal earings and a matching bracelet. Didn’t want to over do it with too much bling because of the detail on my corset .

The Venue

I got married at Avianto in muldersdrift . What a beautiful venue !

Guests had the choice to stay over but because I got married on a Sunday , most of our guests left after the wedding

Only a few of my friends and family stayed for the evening .

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I’m a very simple girls , so I just made sure my hair was coloured and treated and also had my eyebrows and nails done on the Friday before the wedding .

Wedding Elements

My flowers consisted of Casablanca lilies ( and they had all opened on the day ) , white orchids and a mixture of light and dark pink roses .

We went for a very simple but elegant decor for the tables and incorporated crystal Centre pieces.

We liked the clean look without putting too much on the tables . Less is always more .

My Groom And His Groomsmen

The groom wore a full grey suit with a waist coat and the groomsmen wore grey suit pants , a long sleeve white collared shirt with a waist coat . It was a really nice combination and didn’t cost us an arm an a leg.

We bought these from Edgar’s .

Beautiful Bridesmaids

My bridesmaids looked stunning . They wore a beautiful pink sweetheart neckline dress that had a bit of lace on the top and chiffon at the bottom . It went so well with our colour scheme and wasn’t to over powering .

Marriage Officer

We had the most amazing pastor . Father Joe !!! He kept the ceremony short and sweet and had a beautiful message that everyone will remember

My Captured Moments

We had the most amazing photographer Shawn Thompson and his wife . They were so professional and captured every moment of our day . Their photos are absolutely stunning .

We also organized a photo booth for the reception . This is a must at a wedding. Our guests had a blast dressing up with the props ! What good fun

The Wedding Planner

No , I didn’t have a planner . The venue had a coordinator to help with certain things on the day but most of the planning was done by me and my family

Food & Cake

Avianto prepared our buffet . The food was delicious. Guests even had the opportunity to take take aways .

Our cake was stunning and delicious . We had a 3 tier cake and each tier was a different flavor . Our cake was made by Kelly Jaynes bakery in northlands deco park .

Wedding Stationery

I had the most amazing person design all my stationery and organize my wedding favors . She was incredible and also went out of her way to make it look perfect. .

The Reception and Entertainment

I love a live band , so for the reception I booked one of my dads friends to play band for the night . It was so amazing because we had family members do a song or two so that was really great .

I got my dad to sing our first dance song , something I will always remember and made it that much more special .
