Where to begin??!! :)
I have so many EXQUISITE memories of our big day, one that stands out the most to me, one that made an imprint on my heart forever ... The moment i saw my husbands face, filled with so much love,joy and emotion as my father delicately placed our hands together to be joined as one for all the days of our life to come. After numerous occasions of back and forth whether to get married on our Honeymoon or not ... my husband surprised me with a trip abroad to SEYCHELLES!! :D I honestly did not expect such a lavish honeymoon as it was a choice between a proper wedding with family and friends or an exciting honeymoon! This came as a pleasant surprise, we thoroughly enjoyed every moment spent together.
I thought fairy tales don't come true ... Our wedding day was just that and so much more with the help of great friends and family!! Enchanted is what i would use to describe our spring wedding theme.
Loose, half up-do curls accompanied with shiny flower pins sparkling in the sunshine ray, elegantly flowy dress with matching golden shoes and deep purple flower jewelry on the ears and neck simply set the mood.
We found an idyllic setting at Chateau le Mer, with breathtaking views of the Harbeespoort dam and the Magaliesburg mountains surrounding us as we danced the night away. Some of our guests that came from far joined us at the venue for the night.
5months prior to the wedding i have reached my goal weight through exercise twice a day on the treadmill for 40 minutes a session combined with healthy eating and lots of water. I also tried to do regular facials, taking care of my skin for that 'glowing bridal' look :) i must admit that it was tough maintaining regular exercise, healthy eating, regular facials, spa treatments etc as there was still so much that had to be planned and organised and only 5 - 4 months until our big day.
Our decor was done by the awesome team at The Pamper Boutique in Hartbeespoort.
Fairy lights twinkling in the evening light as far as the eye can see, carefully selected flowers delicately placed all around the venue with lanterns lighting the way. Stylish and Elegant just the way we planned.
Our special moments were captured by none other than a good friend of ours, Andre Smith! His creativity, spontaneous personality and artistic eye for detail made our shoot so much fun!! It was a great pleasure to have worked with him again!
We did not have a wedding coordinator, we have amazing family and friends that contributed to the success of our wedding day. From waking up and getting me to the venue to helping out with decor setup and keeping everyone calm, our wonderful 'team' took care of it all. :)
Our beautiful cake and delicious food was prepared by our good friend Mauritz from Corporate Cafe, also situated in Hartbeespoort. Our guests could not stop talking about the food. Definitely a win i'd say!
Dewald Dippenaar performed at our wedding, he dazzled all our guests with his wide variety of music and wonderfully talented guitar play!! Guests enjoyed him VERY much as he definitely knows how to get a party started!! The lighting used combined with the fairy lights and smoke machine absolutely created an unforgettable evening that will be talked about for years to come, not only by those that attended the wedding but those who saw the videos of his performance!
