It hard to narrow it down to one or two moments. Seeing how happy my husband was...that must be the biggest blessing. My little brothers face the moment he first saw me. He went to my mom crying telling her i was beautiful. Dancing with my dad and many many more incredable moments
We went to Thailand!!! The first week we spent on a Koh Samui island and the second week we spent on Koh Tao. It was the most amazing experice and we cannot wait to travel back and explore more islands.
I wanted to keep my look classic. My dress was inspired by a picture I found on the internet. Eloise Roode had helped me to design my perfect dress. We chose a lace bodest with a soft skirt. My venue having a staircase we chose to have a train on the dress just to round off the look as I walked up the stairs. My hair was curled and taken back around my face. I had babies breath in my hair as a tribute to my dad who till this day quotes lyrics from butterflykisses to me. My shoes was pink which tied in perfectly with my bouquet. I kept my jewellery simple, i chose a clear crystal like earings from Lovisa.
We got married at Merwida Country Manor in Rawsonville. I was a flower girl at this venue many years ago and always dreamed of getting married there. They are so organized and helpful. Through every step of my wedding day the manager was there to assist and ensure my day was just as i had pictured.
My beauty regime was tons of stress! We did squeeze in gym sessions. I was treated to a french body scrup the day before the wedding which was exactly what i needed. Oh.. and had my nails done ofcourse
I wanted my bridesmaids to feel comfortable on the day. I was referred to a company called Swing Designs, they had made and delivered the dresses. My dresses were delivered within 3 days and I was so pleased with their service. My bridesmaides were able to wrap the dresses in their own way that reflected their different personalities . We had a separate overlay made that matched my dress.
Our photographer was Jeanelle Coetzee. She made me feel so relaxed and comfortable on the day. Ill definately recommend her, she even made an effort to scout the venue with me beforehand. I cannot thank her enough for her amazing work.
Plush Events had decorated our reception hall. We chose rosegold, ivory and blush pink. She had incorporated mirrors on the tables with many candles along with the flowers. Everything was so romantic and beautiful. Not much needed to be done to the rest of the venue as it was already picturesque. The reception area we had done up ourselves.
Merwida had done the catering for the evening. My guests are still talking about how good the food was. Everything from the canepes to the main course, even desert was beautifully presented and most importantly delicious! My cake was made by Cezanne ( Cakes for Weddings). She is a cake guru! She went above and beyond to help me and accommodate me. Cezanne's cakes are too pretty to eat....but i promise you will be asking for a second slice.
A friend of ours recently started her own business designing wedding stationary. This all started after she had planned her own wedding. She sat endless hours listening to all our ideas and she made the perfect wedding invitations, all handmade. She is so talented! The rest of the guest charts and name placements my husband and I had done.
Our DJ ( Nico Bruyns -
Mr Music Mobile Disco) had done the music and lighting for our entire wedding. The dance floor was never empty. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. He truly does amazing work. I am still getting compliments on how much everyone enjoyed the reception.
