We met each other during our primary school days. I were head over heals over the new blond, blue eyed 12 year old boy in our school. We became good friends, but never more than that.
That all changed in our grade 12 year when he asked me to the matric-farewell.
We went to the farewell together and then things started to move in a more romantic direction. First year of varsity we supported each other and were there when ever one of us missed our home town. But still nothing more than a quick snogging session once in a blue moon.
End of our first varsity year everything changed. He decided to give us a chance in a relationship and we took it day to day.
5 years later everyone was giving up on us to ever get married and then he surprised us all two days before our fifth anniversary, by asking me to get married.
Our magical day came almost 2 years later and it was worth the wait. We've never been more in love than on that magical day, 2 September 2017.
Seeing him stand there at the alter waiting for me with tears in his blue eyes made my heart skip a beat.
There it became a reality that I am marrying the blue eyed boy I fell in love with 14 years ago, the only difference, he is no boy any more, but a handsome blue eyed gentleman, whom I am proud to call my husband.
One of the most special moments of our wedding day was when the best man blind folded my fiancée and brought him to me to pray together before the ceremony.
Yes
We went to Massinga, Mozambique for our honeymoon.
My wedding dress was an A-line style with a soft flow feeling to it. I wore bronx cowgirl boots with it. My hair had curls in, I decided on curls because my fiancée loves my natural curls. My make-up was all natural colours to compliment my hazel coloured eyes. I wore a silver necklace, earrings and hair pin bought from Honey.
