It was a warm sunny day in the heart of the bush veld, under a 300 year old Fig tree that we made a promise to each other.
Birds were singing while the rays of the sun was shining through the leaves. Our wedding day represented our love for nature.
A big surprise was the voices in the crowd objecting to us getting married. This was in fact family friends who flew all the way from Australia to attend our wedding. The emotions was overwhelming, tears of joy rolled down my cheek.
Our 5 year old ring bearer entertained the guests at the ceremony. He spontaneously asked the DJ fro the microphone and started singing in front of all 100 guests. Singing and dancing like a pro!

My make-up and hair was done by UniQ Make-up / Training - Pretoria and my hair by Elle Hairdressing. These girls are the absolute best team for any bride and the bridal party. Anele and Elmarie was more than just a make-up and hair artist, they made sure we laughed, relaxed and enjoyed every minute of the preparations. My garter was handmade by a very special friend Zelda, with every detail sown by hand. My nails were sculpted and handpainted by the very talented Bernice Bezuidenhout, who owns The Gossip Hair & Beauty Salon in Vanderbijlpark.

The road to the Fig tree requires cars with good ground clearance, which was no problem for us as we have a good friend who owns a one of a kind restored Willy's Jeep. This served as the wedding car and resembled our outdoor nature theme. Guests who owned a 4x4 vehicle drove to the tree with their own cars and some had a nice ride in the Game Drive vehicle.

The tears of joy tissues was done by my hubby and me a few days before the wedding, he felt like crying once it was done. The rest of the stationary was done and created by Troulantyntjies. They are precise and on point! I loved how they incorporated the colours to my burlap and bush veld theme.
We danced the night away!!! We didn't go for lessons, only practiced on the patio a few times. We made use of 4seasons mobile who ensured we filled the dance floor with every song.
