We met on a cold winters night on the 7th of June 2012,at a mutual friends place. He wasn't planning on attending that night, but decided otherwise (thank goodness). We both enjoyed each others company and exchanged numbers and added each other on Facebook. It was then a few weeks of constant talking, getting to know each other and falling in love. On the 8th of August he asked me to be his girlfriend,me being me made him abit anxious and didn't say yes immediately, instead I pretended not to hear him, which gave him immense anxiety. I quit fooling around and agreed to be his girlfriend. We dated for 5 years. We're always learning new things about eachother. Our relationship is always interesting. I always find it being a pleasure knowing a human with such character and zest for life. I am so grateful for everything we have shared and everything we're yet to share and experience together.
We got engaged at Vergelegen Estate on the 28th of January 2017
He asked my parents blessing a month prior and after they happily agreed he spent the month planning the engagement with my mom. (Im still surprised this was kept from me for so long since my investigation skills are so advanced)
The morning he told me he planned a date quite far from home. We landed up driving to Somerset west to Vergelegen Estate, which is such a beautiful location. He organized us a gourmet picnic in the forest and while enjoying our food a few peacocks came and stole our food. We laughed and laughed then he grabbed my hand and said how happy he is that we get to share moments like these and that im his best friend whom he loves immensely. Then he reached for his pocket and took out the ring box and asked me if I'll marry him?
His my soulmate so of cause my answer was yes

My wedding look included my definition of a perfect dress. Simplicity and minimal yet cute and elegant. It had lace and simple beaded detailing.
My grandmother who was a florest made my bouquet and flower crown. I wanted and unorganized bunch with long stems, which she done a really great job at. My flower crown was made from gyp.
I wanted a simple makeup look and thats what I got. No hectic colours. Soft brown on the eyes and blush pink lips
I definitely didn't want to be uncomfortable on the day so opted for a nude pump with a cute strap around the ankle.
I wore silver jewelry. Kept it simple yet elegant.
