It is so hard to decide on one special moment or memory as the whole day is unforgettable and unbelievably memorable – but to pick the one that’s most special…Declaring our forever love to each other on our 2 year anniversary and Having our families united to become one.
Yes, we went to Zanzibar, it was the perfect island to celebrate becoming Mr and Mrs.
I am very sporty and my best feature is my back and chest so I tried to enhance that with my dress with still keeping it simple and comfortable to stick with my down to earth simple nature. To show my funky side I did have yellow shoes. I had a very special ankle bracelet gifted from my mom :-)
The Bridge Venue
The Bridge is one of Muldersdrifts hidden treasures. We do not charge venue hire! An old converted farmhouse set in tranquil gardens beside the banks of the Wilgespruit.
We used purple and yellow flowers and had a sort of rustic feel to the tables and other décor. It was a spring wedding and the bright purple and yellow just brought such a happy feel to the day. We are also pretty down to earth and laid back so decided to incorporate the rustic idea as well.
The men looked ever so smart in their grey suits with either a touch of purple and yellow to keep with the theme :-)
For the bridesmaids, I wanted them to be happy and comfortable and feel stunning on the day. The bright purple and short look made them all look amazing. We wanted a stunning look but something funky :-)
Our marriage officer was Pastor Dieter Harms :-) He kept the service light hearted but serious enough to get valuable information from it :-) He did a great job.
Salt ‘n Pepper Photography - they are a stunning couple who had great fresh ideas and willing to go with any ideas we had as well. My brother, Peter Kohne, did the videography. He paired all the videos with great background music. The combination of photos and videos will help us remember this special day forever :-)
We are an utterly passionate husband and wife team, who's had the privilege of working together since 2010, capturing beautiful, natural and real moments as they take place.
No wedding coordinator, however Holly from our venue , The Bridge, was a fantastic help with any questions I had :-) otherwise we did it all on our own :-)
The wedding cake was a very special carrot cake made by a friend from my home town and decorated by my talented mother.
We did most of the print outs but we also had a lot of help from Leeann from Insignia :-) she did a great job.
Dancing - that we went with our gut and just went with winging it ;-) we had a DJ by the name of Andrew Stock - he did an absolutely amazing job and kept the party flowing perfectly.
