My most memorable moment was obviously walking down the aisle and seeing my partner for the first time. Secondly, messing up our first dance and just laughing about it on the dance floor.
We spent a few days in Sun City and then we are going to Bali in December.
I wanted to wear something different to other brides and therefore chose a blush dress. It was classic and I truly felt like a bride when wearing the dress. My hair was done at Le Bella Hair & Nails and i couldn't have asked for better. The style I chose was a braided, fish plait in order to show the detail of the dress at the back. A hair piece was worn from Lovisa as well as the earrings. The nails were done by Nicole's Nail Studio and I must say i was extremely happy with the outcome they did a fantastic job! The shoes were a pointed heel from Carmen Steffens.
Indaba Hotel and Conference Centre in Fourways. Yes, a few guests did stay over at the hotel.
In terms of health and fitness I go to gym and eat healthy. On a monthly basis six months prior to the wedding I went for a deep cleanse facial to try rejuvenate and maintain a clean skin.
The idea for the decor was to have something simple yet classic as well as elegant. White flowers were used with greenery and candles were utilised to soften the atmosphere. Round mirrors were placed in the centre with white table clothes and silver runners.
The groom and best man wore grey suits with black suspenders, a white shirt, black tie and black shoes with colourful socks.
The bridesmaids wore navy blue dresses from Forever New and looked ever so elegant.
Pastor Doug who is a family friend and we could not have asked for anyone else to have married us. The ceremony was just delightful and meaningful.
Our special moments were captured by a awesome, friendly and bubbly photographer by the name of Sheila Ramos of the Grey lens photography. She really made us both feel comfortable and she is professional. Sheila met with us twice prior to the wedding in order to get to know us and what type of wedding we were having and the type of pictures we were looking to take.
The venue allocated an events coordinator by the name of Tanja who assisted in the planning of the wedding.
The venue provided a Merc to fetch the bride and bridesmaids. I felt really important :)
The Indaba Hotel provided a superb buffet, it was really delicious!
The cake was tastefully done by the Cake Gallery which I recommend as it is affordable and delectable.
We had family play the violin, keyboard and guitar when walking down the aisle and cutting of the cake. This was awesome as it made the moment extremely special.
We had a DJ for the rest of the evening. We used Starry Night and the DJ was professional as well as friendly.
